What a great creepy psychological thriller read this was, I can't believe someone would go to these lengths and actually live in someone's house.
It was a nail biting story which held my interest from the very first page and I wasn't sure how it was all going to end. I had a few ideas of my own but as the storyline progressed I was wrong.
As much as I loved this brilliant read from one of my favourite authors I particularly enjoyed how everything was brought to a satisfactory conclusion. I can't wait for the next masterpiece from this talented author.
Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this fantastic creepy ARC which I have no hesitation in recommending.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Stranger At No. 6 - Gemma Rogers
When you pick up one of Gemma’s books, you know you’re in for a bumpy ride!
Phrogging is something I hadn’t ever heard of before - and certainly won’t be trying any time soon!
Incredibly pacey and with the ability to turn the pages themselves - this started with a bang and didn’t let up till the end.
Wrong footed - which I LOVE about a book - it also had me guessing throughout - a belter of a summer read!
Thanks to Boldwood Books for the ARC - and Gemma for another fantastic thriller……how long till the next one Gemma?! 😉

Molly is tired of sleeping on her friend's couch. Being short of cash, she starts 'phrogging' i.e. secretly staying in someone's house. She finds the ideal place on Church Road but it soon becomes clear that the owners have dangerous secrets. Molly begins to fear for her life.
I was captivated from the start and couldn't tear myself away. Molly was on the verge of being caught several times and I was screaming for her to get out of there. If you like tense thrillers this is a book for you. But be warned - you won't be able to do anything else until you have finished it.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

The Stranger at No. 6 by Gemma Rogers is a tour de force from the very first page. I was virtually propelled through the chapters.
Molly is an aspiring journalist who is trying to save money for a camper van and decides that phrogging is a great way to expedite her goal. Moving fully into a family home while remaining undetected was a new concept for me, and one that gives off some distictly creepy vibes! But Molly gets more than she bargained for when the seemingly generic family she has chosen to live with are discovered to be hiding a few secrets of their own, and she finds herself the accidental witness to a missing person case.
Gemma Rogers has scored all of the points here with a tale of intrigue and deceit, all told from the perspective of a phrogging narrator. Brilliant.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC.

This is one of the most entertaining books I have
read in a very long time! Our main character, Molly,
is just the best, from start to finish. I am not sure
if this is part of a theme or series, but I highly
recommend the book to all readers. It is
perfect for a holiday book! My thanks to
Boldwood Books for the download copy of
the book for review purposes.

Rogers' writing is engaging, and the characters are well-developed. The pacing is well-balanced, making it hard to put down. With its twisty narrative and atmospheric setting, this book is perfect for fans of psychological thrillers. Overall, "The Stranger at No. 6" is a thrilling page-turner that will keep you guessing until the end.

This book was not all what I was expected but I still
Enjoyed the book all in all. I would recommend to others though.

Molly is reporter who is saving money to buy her own camper van to live in. Once her BFF's roommates get sick of her, she decides to phrogg, or live in someone else's house without them knowing it. She moves into number six Church Road and discovers the husband is having an affair. Once the mistress turns up missing and later dead, Molly know she must do something. She is also in danger the longer she stays. I love Gemma's book. They are full of twists and turns you don't see coming. Suspense and jaw dropping revelations. Highly recommended!

This was definitely an addictive read! Phrogging is very similar to squatting, except in squatting, you’re staying in a vacant home and when you’re phrogging, you’re staying/hiding out in an occupied home. Crazy, right? So in this book, Molly is phrogging. And because she’s hiding, the homeowners don’t know she’s in the house so they don’t realize she’s witnessed something…. Are you intrigued? Read the book!! So good.

A page-turner with a good plot I can’t wait to read the next book by this author! If you’re looking for atmosphere, drama and suspense, then this is definitely book for you!
The blurb drew me in immediately as I’ve never heard of ‘phrogging’ before. This book was utterly addictive packed with shocking twists that you’ll never see coming. I live for books that leave me speechless and this one did just that!
Just book the day off work to read this. Five massive sparkling stars! Love, love, it! The ENTIRE plot was fantastic!

When I saw this book I read the 1 page intro re what the story was about and carried on reading…..so firstly can confirm it is an addictive read
Phrogging,I hadn't heard this term before although had heard of people who ‘move in’ to someone else’s house whilst the owners live there and can you believe manage to co-exist with the other people without them knowing, yep its a thing and a growing trend here in the UK……and its abhorrent yet fascinating
We meet Molly,a broke journalist who has decided her new phrogging residence will be ‘6 Church Road’….a new family have moved in and there are places she can hide and ‘share’ their new abode, what she doesn’t expect is what she witnesses one lunchtime when the hubby comes home unexpectedly and the chaos that spirals from that,Molly is then in a situation she needs to help resolve but of course without telling anyone else she is living there
As say once started I couldn’t stop reading this book and as things got more and more exciting had to finish to see what happened to all involved
Really good research done into this startling world and as always with this author a great read,I’d say my favourite by the author but always say that 😎 but the books just get better and better
Brilliant read with an interesting learning curve of a subject thrown in
