Delightful slow build up to a delicately written romance. Set in several fashionable cities as well as rural Bali. Our author shares the dignity, the culture, the faith and the work ethic of the Balinese people. We follow Mara and her journey back to herself—and toward the love of her life. Cozy romantic story in the world of fashion and travel. Very enjoyable once I got into it.

Bitter sweet, this is the series finale but so beautifully written with a happy ending for Mara!

This has been a journey of friendship and love and philosophy for Annie, her friends and all of us as the readers!

I dare say this was my favorite of the series, but I’ve liked Mara’s character from the start. Her character has been developed throughout the series but in Book 5 she is the star and I feel like she had the deepest level of development. Her story is told more in the present in Book 5 with her past already sprinkled through the previous books.

Her artistry in making fabric really shines a light on the author’s former life in fashion, I enjoyed the Milan fashion week portion of the story, made me think of Project Runway!

And then we get to watch Mara revisit her roots and learn about her home in Bali. I have enjoyed all the exotic locations written into the entire series and the education surrounding the cultures that has been woven into the stories. I always find myself wanting to go to these places and this time it was for the spa day with Mara and her friends in Bali.

So happy the group has found romance and happiness in their found purposes.

I really enjoyed this as a fifth entry in the Annie's Journey series, it does a great job in creating that element that I was looking for in this type of book. I was hooked from the first page, and thought the characters worked well in this setting and thoroughly enjoyed the concept and how they were used. Nina Purtee has a strong writing style and hopefully there is more in this series and from the author.
