Just finished At Whit’s End by Bailey Hannah and omg 😍 I had the BEST time! This book gave me everything I wanted and then some.

The writing is sharp, the banter had me grinning like a fool 🤭, and the pacing? Chef’s kiss 👩‍🍳💋. I flew through it because I had to know what happened next.

Some tropes I ate up like candy 🍬:

Grumpy x Sunshine 🌦️ Forced proximity 🏡 Found family that made my heart all warm 💕 Slow burn but SO worth it 🔥

I loved how the characters felt real but also had those romcom-level moments that made me squeal and kick my feet 🫠✨.

If you’re looking for a witty, feel-good read that balances swoon with laughs, this is your sign. 📚💖 Bailey Hannah totally delivered!

This was a great instalment in the Wells Canyon series. It's always nice to be able to check back in with characters from previous books whilst enjoying a new view point.

Whit and Colt were interesting protagonists, and a little role reversal was at play than you usually find in this genre. I liked that!

This is a sweet story of a single mum doing her very best and feeling guilty about so many things, one being her budding feelings for Colt, her sons mentor. Colt sweeps in and slowly but surely proves that she can have both.

The spice in this instalment felt less than previous books, but when it was spicy it was good!

Firstly, Thank you Orion Publishing & Netgalley for this ARC. Best believe I screamed when I seen I got approved!

You guys are in for a TREAT. And I’m unsure if it’s because of how Colt is the “Riley Green” lookalike or how Whit is the one in charge in the bedroom 😜

I have so many parts of this book highlighted because let me tell you.. it’s an emotional one! And damn it, it’s the best in the series for me now!

The way it’s reverse nanny with Colt being the one to watch Whits son Jonas all summer WITHOUT being asked too.. you just knew something was gonna happen but unsure when due to the slow burn to begin with!

I’m a woman obsessed at this point. I cannot stop thinking about this book and these characters, also the fact we get to keep up with the previous characters is always a 10/10.

If you haven’t already read the Wells Ranch Series.. then where have you been?! It all the cowboy romance plus more!

AT WHIT'S END is without a doubt my favourite book of the WELLS RANCH series so far. I absolutely adored Whit & Colt's story. I don't know how it's possible that Bailey Hannah's writing just keeps getting better and better, but this gem right here is proof of that.
Bailey has created a world that I want to live in, with characters that I adore. These books make me feel all of the emotions but I think this one was something pretty special.

Firstly, if I could rate a book higher than 5 stars I would rate this infinite! Secondly, I would like to say a massive thank-you to Bailey, Orion and NetGalley for sending me the ARC for this AMAZING book!

Colt and Whits story is unforgettable and I can't wait for the world to read about them! It was the perfect book to add to the Wells Ranch Series and I will forever be thinking about it. It has banter, so many emotions and all the little bits in between.

I would literally read an instruction manual if Bailey wrote it, so there was no surprise that I LOVED this book! I could literally write so much about this book, I have so many thoughts, but I'll try and keep it as simple as I can.

I knew I would be obsessed with their relationship from the very start, even from COH! What starts as a budding friendship most definitely grows into something magical. The way they react to one another and can communicate so well, ughh they just melt my heart. They just fit together so perfectly in their own quirky way! They not only love, they are honest, they laugh, they cry and just overall perfect for each other!

Hello Mama *wink*. Whit Hart is exactly who I expected and I am so in love with her and her personality. Not only is she such a fantastic mum, even though sometimes she thinks she is failing, but she is funny, so caring and willing to try things that the old her wouldn’t. She isn't afraid to show her vulnerable side and while reading, you can see her hesitation, and you will understand why when you read, but my gosh, her heart is always in the right place and I’m so here for it.

Colt Campbell, the goofy dog dad who wears the cheesiest graphic tees and loves an overly sugared iced drink. I thought Denny was the biggest simp for his girl, but then in strolled Colt, who isn’t just obsessed with Whit, but her son, Jonas too, *sighs and falls onto the bed clutching kindle*. Even with Whit's hesitation, Colt makes her feel like she is most definitely worth it, and more, no matter the situation.

Colt knew exactly what he wanted and knew exactly how to get it, but the fact he was willing to wait and do it all right was so special, especially when he wasn't just taking into consideration Whit's life, but also Jonas’. And I loved how Whit let him, she let him into her circle and the trust they had for each other was so special. It was so special to see that he noticed that while Whit was taking care of Jonas, no one was taking care of her, until he showed up, and he wasn't going to let her believe that she wasn't worth it. He showed her that she deserved it and more.

The bond between Colt and Jonas is really what pulled me into the story. He took Jonas under his wing, becoming not only a mentor but a friend, having him help out at the ranch during the summer. He never over stepped, letting Jonas take the lead into how much he wanted to share and do. Understanding a semi-absent father himself, Colt helps Jonas overcome his own troubles, while also building a budding friendship.

Throughout the book, there are so many little moments that just stuck with me! The banter (I laughed and giggled so much), the spice (Ohhhh the spice *fans myself*), Colts mum (iykyk, she is such a gem and I love her) , Betty Spaghetti (the real main character in this book HAHAH) and all the other little moments. Seeing little bits of all the past characters too was so special.

I can’t wait to see what Bailey has for us next!
Until next time xox

3.5⭐
I liked the premise, as single mum romances are one of my favourite tropes, and Colt definitely fit the “hot hero” bill. The setup had potential, but I just couldn’t fully buy into their relationship. It lacked the spark and tension that makes a romance feel electric, and some moments felt more flat than heartfelt. Still, it was a quick, easy read with charm in the small-town setting. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC :)

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the digital ARC!

If you're looking for a light-hearted romance to cosy up with, whether it's in summer or winter, then you can't go wrong with At Whit's End. This low-stakes romance features a cowboy and a single mother who slowly end up falling in love. It's the fourth in a series, but I haven't read any of the others and didn't feel like I was missing out too much.

Whit is a twenty-nine-year-old single mother of a ten-year-old, who struggles with feeling like she's inadequate and not doing a good enough job raising her son, Jonas. Her ex, and Jonas' father, Alex, is a waste of space and takes no responsibility. A result of this is that Jonas acts out a lot and is close to getting expelled from school. In a desperate attempt to keep him from getting into trouble, she lets him go to the ranch where her sister's boyfriend works, where he meets Colt.

Colt is a ranch hand who takes Jonas under his wing and shows him what a guy is actually supposed to act like. Unsurprisingly, the two end up friends, and Jonas becomes pretty attached to Colt. Colt also becomes attached to Whit, becoming increasingly determined to date her.

Colt has a golden retriever energy, and I actually felt a bit defensive of him when people kept calling him stupid in this. He wasn't stupid; he just had a very positive outlook on life. He was one of those 'live and let live' kind of guys. He stepped up with Jonas when Alex wouldn't and showed Whit that she deserved better than she'd had.

Overall, a fun and light read that isn't anything revolutionary but will satisfy romance lovers.

What a perfect way to finish this amazing series.

Colt, a fun-loving, happy go lucky cowboy, meets Whit when he is put in charge of looking after her seemingly wayward ten year old son Jonas.
Whit fell pregnant with Jonas at a young age, feeling the whispers and stares of the small town community, now trying to make sure she does everything right as a single parent to avoid their judgement. This is made much harder by her never-present, useless ex Alex, and Jonas' seemingly worsening behaviour.

Colt and Jonas quickly form a strong bond, which introduces him into Whit's life, both feeling an instant attraction.
What follows is such a romantic falling in love. Colt's love and devotion for Whit was unwavering and so tender from the off. There was no denying how much he was gone for her! And I really loved that this book had the FMC doing the dirty talk - it flipped the usual narrative on its head!

All in all, I've fallen head over heels with Wells Ranch and all of its cowboys, but Colt was quite special. 100% golden retriever energy, I feel like every woman needs a devoted man like Colt in their lives.

This is a very cute and romantic book - Whitney is striggling to raise her 10 year old alone with a flakey ex and a school that has the child as the problem. Day care for the summer is sorted at a ranch and Colt steps up to take ten year old Jonas as his shadow working on the farm,
The plot ranges from the romance of the couple as they overcome their worries, and past fears as well as concentrating on the relati9nship between Jonas and the farm hands and the animals. The desription of daily life on a working farm, the hours, the hard labour and the relentless sun are well done. The cute dog nipping at everyone’s heals and expecting squirts of cream is also very lovely!
