Paramour is a beautiful YA adventure of friendship, family, and love. It weaves the love and paranormal elements well together. I’m a fan of fated mates, but feel that it’s rarely done well, however, Paramour does it well. The action starts immediately, throwing you into to the world that’s familiar, being in our world, but unfamiliar, with the Para’s.
This is everything a YA Paranormal Romance should be.
Little note: The font changes could be hard for people with dyslexia or similar disabilities. It’s not insanely important to be able to read the font changes, but it was a struggle for even me who doesn’t have dyslexia.

This story completely consumed me from the first chapter to the final page. I was fully immersed in the characters, the world, and the emotional weight behind every moment.
Sadie, the main character, is unforgettable, and her journey is raw and deeply emotional. It’s a perfect blend of purpose, pain, and hope that pulled me in deeper with every page.
The relationships are crafted with so much care and depth. Certain scenes stayed with me long after I finished reading, and I often found myself reflecting on the emotions and connections between the characters.
The atmosphere is beautifully layered. Every scene is rich with vivid, cinematic detail that draws you in completely. The story combines a supernatural vibe with heartfelt emotions, creating a world that feels both magical and deeply personal.
This book is more than just fantasy. It’s a heartfelt exploration of love, loss, identity, and the fierce determination to protect what truly matters. It’s the kind of story that lingers in your heart and is definitely a must-read!

I really enjoyed getting into this world and how well the characters were used in the supernatural element in this world. I was hooked from the first page and enjoyed how good the romance element that I was wanting. It was a strong opening chapter in the Of Ballads and Banshees series, and had that element that I wanted and enjoyed getting into this world and characters. Robin Alvarez was able to create a strong storyline and was glad it was everything that I hoped for,
