Mist and Divide is an intriguing fantasy with an engaging premise and a heroine who immediately stands out. Evella’s voice carried the story well, and I enjoyed following her journey as she grappled with both her past and the dangerous potential of Soulmagic. The worldbuilding around the Ten Lands and the aftermath of the Quake had plenty of promise, and the concept of magic tied to dreams felt fresh and unique.

That said, at times the narrative felt a little surface-level, leaving me wishing for deeper dives into character motivations and the broader history of the world. The plot moved at a steady pace, but some moments resolved a bit quickly when I wanted more complexity and emotional weight.

Overall, though, this was an enjoyable read with a fascinating main character and an imaginative magical system. I’d recommend it to readers looking for a fantasy adventure with hints of mystery and a strong heroine at its core.

Enjoyable read with an intriguing FMC who alludes to complex topics. My favourite quote was "or maybe, a tiny part of me wanted to believe that we got a second chance with the people we loved. Although I did enjoy this read, some of it felt flat and surface level but I did like the twist at the end

Mist and Divide is a novel that is set in a fantasy world and it deals with conflict that causes ten different lands to be in a dispute with each other. Our main heroine Evella has lived in isolation in hopes it will solve her problems but alas it has not worked out very well. However things change when she meets a young man wabting to recruit her for a special army.

I found this book to be very interesting. It was different to what I was used to reading but since I made it a goal to try new thinga I figured it was worth a shot. I am super glad I took the chance because I very much enjoyed this book.
