I have been a huge fan of the poetry and “The Bell Jar” written by Sylvia Plath during the 1960’s for the better part of my life.
“Fabulous Beasts” while inspired by the lifetime turmoil of Ms Plath, finds its own very interesting path while doing so.
Vivienne is described as fragile mentally or as we realize in today ‘s world, she suffers from mental illness. Those suffering from a mental illness were facing the serious lack of any sort of medical help. Following her dreams and facing many obstacles makes this book very interesting, but also sad, as Vivienne falls in love with an English poet who is abusive and thus begins her mental decline.
Thank you to NetGalley and Black Rose Writing for the ARC of this book i enjoyed it immensely.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it had that element that I was looking for from the description. I enjoyed how good the historical fiction element was and how the characters were able to be in this universe. W.A. Schwartz has a strong writing style and enjoyed the overall concept and characters and so glad it worked out overall. I'm excited to read more from W.A. Schwartz as this was so well written.
