I chose to read this book because I also have multiple sclerosis and my husband is an amputee. I wanted to see how another couple traveled. I went into reading this book not knowing the authors wife has MS, so that was a surprise for me. That being said, I did enjoy the insight of how their travels changed as her symptoms increased. And I did like how the author included historical background info to the places they traveled. One thing I would have liked is to hear his wife’s thoughts and feelings along the way. The book was told entirely from his perspective and even though there were times when he would include her words and perspective it was usually in a “this is what’s he said she felt” type of way. Overall though I thought it was well written. Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this title.

This is a truly inspiring story to get out and live life no matter your circumstances. I also live with MS and find myself reluctant to leave the safety of my home even for a trip to town. Trish shows so much courage and tenacity. Thank you for sharing your stories.
