Compulsively readable queer romance with dark themes. Luke has spent most of his life trying to appear (and be) as non-threatening as possible, given that he's six and a half feet tall and bulkily muscular with it. When he meets Jamie, a gorgeous, (apparently) self-confident co-worker, he falls and falls hard. Unbelievably, to him, Jamie falls for him, too. But...sometimes Jamie uses the wrong name with Luke. Sometimes he seems like a different person entirely, someone who claims to be Jamie's husband....

This was emotionally tense, the psychological romance I didn't know I needed until I read it. I will be devouring October Arden's work as I eargerkt await the sequel to Headmates.

This was a really quick read for me, which is usually a good sign! I felt as though it ended a bit abruptly, so I am looking forward to the next one in the series.

I did get the obsessive love angle I was looking for, which was really well done, but it started to come apart for me in the final third of the book - a switch really flipped that threw me for a loop.

This was a strong start to the Inside series, it had that element that I was looking for and thought worked as a show for obsessive love. Everything was everything that I was looking for and was glad I got to read this. The characters were wonderfully done and worked in this universe, and thought the overall feel worked with them and had that tense atmosphere. October Arden has a strong writing stlye and am excited for more in this series and from October Arden.
