I normally love Andie Christopher’s books but this one just wasn’t for me. It featured a trio of stories and flipped between perspectives a lot. It was interesting at first and I definitely felt hooked in the beginning, but I didn’t really feel like I got to know any of the characters very well. If you like ensemble books this one is for you!
Read if you like: Formula 1 racing, stories about glamorous rich people, athlete besties who share….everything…
The audio was great - it definitely worked with the different POVs.
Thanks to Netgalley and Brilliance Publishing for providing me with a digital copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Faster is a fun ride! And there's something for everyone here.
Lessa Lamb did a great job with the audio and had a heavy load to lift with all the different characters from across the world of racing.
There are 3 main stories told throughout this book. More page time is dedicated to Ethan, Cece & Luca, so we get more character development and emotional depth from their story. The other two romances, especially Brent & Paula, feel more rushed. I loved a glimpse into this world and Andie Christopher really nailed the glam and intrigue of the F1 scene. For me, the end of all three relationships felt really rushed, but overall I had fun with this story.
Thank you to Brilliance Publishing, Andie J. Christopher & NetGalley for the ALC!

This book had SO much potential and there were so many moments/parts of it that I truly enjoyed, but I think squeezing three different relationships and seven different POVs into one book took away from the depth of the characters, their relationships and the development of both.
I think I would have loved this if it were a series of 3 books that took place in an overlapping timeline. I was fascinated and intrigued by each romantic relationship being explored and would have loved to dive deeper into their stories. I also know I would have had a deeper appreciation and connection for so many of these characters if we had the opportunity to go deeper with them.
That said, this series is chock-full of drama, secrets, and exploring unique relationships while being centred around one of my favourite sports - Formula 1.
I did find there were moments when listening to the audiobook that I got lost in who's POV we were experiencing. Because the book was written in 3rd person, it allowed for some POV hopping, but when you're navigating so many POVs and learning about 7 different characters it can be difficult at times to keep track of when listening to the audiobook.
Overall, I truly did enjoy it, I just strongly believe I would enjoy it that much more if I had the opportunity to explore character and relationship development more fully.
Shout out to Lessa Lamb for carrying the narration of 7 different characters (male and female) with the single POV narration. I think a full cast performance may have been helpful for tracking so many characters (but I recognize how expensive that is lol)
Thank you to Brilliance Publishing for the ALC.

Thank you Netgalley and Andie J. Christopher for the ARC/ALC
I absolutely loved this book it felt like 3 mini novellas set in the same setting which was amazing. a very quick read.
Although I wish each couple just had their own book, it was amazing, and I did not want it to end.
The ending was so abrupt which I did not love.

If you crossed Formula 1 with Real Housewives and cranked up both the sexiness and the messiness, you'd get Faster. Wow—I truly didn’t know what to expect going into this, especially with a story that follows three different couples and seven characters, but Andie J. Christopher pulled it off with exceptional execution.
The way she weaves these interconnected relationships is so seamless. Each couple had their moment in the spotlight, giving us enough time to really know them and understand the depth of their connections. With such complicated and messy backstories, I honestly couldn’t figure out how everyone was going to get their happy ending, but somehow, they all did, and it was so satisfying.
If you enjoy poly romances where a husband and wife are in love with his best friend, and she falls for her ex-boyfriend’s dad, and the bad boy of F1 finally meets his match…then this book is for you. It’s a fun, wild, emotional ride with just the right amount of sports mixed into the romance, and let me tell you the spice is so good and perfectly done.
I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator did a fabulous job bringing this cast of characters to life. Even as someone who isn’t an “F1 girlie,” I was completely engrossed in the drama, the passion, and the love stories. The racing element enhances the tension without overpowering the romance, striking the perfect balance.
Faster will rev your engine and leave you completely satisfied. If you want a steamy, messy, and wildly entertaining romance, buckle up this one’s a ride worth taking.
Thank you to Brilliance Publishing for the ALC. All opinions are my own.

Sometimes a book just hits and you can’t explain why. I was reduced to a mess of “OMGs” and “Guysssss I need you to read this!”, and “This book is so hot!” to my book friends and that’s exactly what I’m going to shout at you. This is an F1 sports romance that is about messy MESSY people who are so intertwined they have to constantly justify their actions and feelings to themselves. Everyone is screwing (or wants to) in classic bonkbuster style, and they’re all under a microscope by the media and the tiny racing world making this way better than reality TV. But it’s Andie J. Christopher’s writing that made me want these relationships to work out.
Yearning, anyone? Faster has it in spades. There’s not much I can describe without giving away the storylines, but some of the tropes you’ll find are age gap, workplace romance, one night stand to lovers, best friend’s wife, ex-boyfriend’s dad, and a MFM throuple. The book is built around four relationships, and I had no trouble keeping track of who or where, I mean the F1 world IS small. I’m sure there will be those that love to hate on this book and the morality police will rage against it, but honestly? It was the perfect form of escapism I needed and sent my endorphins through the roof.
I received an ALC and and ARC and switched between the two. Lessa Lamb was a new to me narrator who did a fantastic job of distinguishing between all of the couples voices. I found her likable and would pick up another book she narrates. This is a book that works well either listened to or read with your eyes. Thank you to Montlake and Brilliance Publishing for my early copies. All opinions are my own.

Faster by Andie J. Christopher is a formula 1 story that follows three different relationships over the racing season. Narration was performed by Lessa Lamb, who did an excellent job of bringing these characters to life! Cece & Ethan are married with a strained relationship, which becomes more complicated when Luca, Ethan’s former best friend and Cece’s hook up, join his racing team. Liam is the team owner and principal for Panther racing, who has just signed Micaela, the only female F1 racer. Her teammate is her ex-boyfriend, Brent, who also happens to be Liam’s son. Paola is in charge of the press for Panther racing and makes a deal with Brent to go on a date if he behaves. Overall, I really enjoyed this story, however it was difficult at times to keep the plot straight with the three relationships. I would have loved to see this as 2 standalone books, separating the stories of Luca/Ethan/Cece and Liam/Micaela/Paola/Brent. I enjoyed the F1 story and thought the author did a good job of weaving the relationships together with the world of racing.
Thank you Netgalley, Brilliance Publishing, and the author for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.

4⭐, 3.25🌶️
Okay this book was so unique - it follows three different love stories not just one. I loved getting all kinds of romances (love between drivers/ polyamorous couple; driver and team principle; driver and PR agent). I enjoyed the stories but felt like because all three were so intermingled, you don't get a lot of each of them. in full "romance timeline." I felt like it was most on one couple, a bit about another, and a dash of the third: so because of that if felt a bit unbalanced and rushed in its ending.
How I felt my attention was split in this book -
50% : Looooved Cece's, Luca and Ethan's storyline. I really wish the whole book was about them cause so much of their group relationship was so fun and flirty snd unique. Your husband cheats on you, so you get revenge with his ex-best friend/ driver rival. But then you rekindle your relationship with your husband a bitall to find out THEY used to hook up so you start throuple?! AND AN F1 ROMANCE?! So good!
35% : Miclea is the only female F1 driver on the grid and who is she attracted to? Her team principle, who alsoooo happens to be her ex-boyfriends dad...and her ex-boyfriend is her driving teammate?! I was invested in this secret, forbidden romance for so many reasons and honestly could have read this whole story as a standalone as well.
15%: Oh Paola and Brent...how you got lot in the shuffle of my interests for the other two storylins. I'll be honest, I didnt even notice this was a romance storyline until like 70%. Which is n me, but also the book is third person POV and has a singlular narrator so these two really just didnt stand out to grab my attention until Pol's storyline crosses over with the other two couples more.
Overall, this book was unique and inventive and while I was really invested in two of the three groups, the third I almost missed and I'm not sure if that was a me problem, the audiobook problem, or the story in general. Overall, I think people will enjoy this book if they enjoy F1 romances and forbidden/ saucy romances.
Thank you NetGalley and Montlake/ Brilliance Publishing for an ALC/ eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review!

This was a fast-paced story set in the high-stakes world of F1 racing. While it leaned more toward a 3.5 star read for me, I rounded it up because the narration made such a difference.
The first relationship we see is Cece, Ethan, and Luca. Their connection was chaotic and full of fire, but also the one I struggled with most. The emotions were high, but at times it felt toxic, and I found myself wishing for more clarity in their foundation.
The second pairing is Micaela and Liam. I loved the idea of her being the lone female driver on the grid. She stood out as determined and strong, and her relationship with Liam had potential to be my favorite. I just wish we had more time with them.
There was also Paola and Brett, who added fun moments but felt the least developed. I found myself wishing their romance had been fleshed out more. With three couples to follow, I often felt pulled in too many directions and wanting more depth with each relationship.
Lessa Lamb did a great job. Her voice was easy to follow, her pacing was smooth, and she kept me engaged throughout. That said, I really wish this had been dual or duet narration. With so many characters and shifting POVs, I found myself getting lost at times and wishing each perspective had its own distinct voice.
Overall, Faster was a fun and spicy ride with plenty of racing energy, but I think it would have shined brighter if each couple had their own book. I enjoyed it and would still recommend it to fans of fast-paced romance with a lot of heat.

4/5 Star Review
5/5 Spice Level
5/5 Audiobook Review
Easy to listen, single narrator audiobook about three separate couples with lots of spice, emotion and happily ever afters!
GENRE, POV, TROPES, PAGE COUNT:
Faster is a standalone Contemprary Romance. The POV is third-person and changes frequently between characters. Tropes include all forbidden love entanglements with HEA’s, age-gap, ménage, racing & girl racer, & a real-life feel. The audiobook is approximately 10 hours long with a single narrator, Lessa Lamb. She does a phenomenal job narrating all these different characters!
STORYLINE/PLOT:
I must say this book was written in a unique way. This isn’t about just one couple. This is about THREE separate couples (& a throuple) who are all in the same Formula 1 racing sector. At first, when I realized it had changed to different people I was confused due to going into this book completely blind. Once I understood what was happening, I was fully invested in all of their relationships!
I felt a connection to each of the characters because the author does a wonderful job expressing the feelings and emotions within them all. I truly wanted them all to have their happily ever afters! The book flows easily between the couples and the spice was written very well. There are tummy butterflies, tummy-tensing situations and super hot scenes! There is definitely drama within this sector’s community.
So, we’ve got the married couple with the husband’s best friend who are both racers forbidden romance. We’ve got the girl racer with ex-boyfriend’s dad forbidden romance. And we’ve got the same ex-boyfriend racer with his PR rep lady forbidden romance.
It’s a great book!
Thank you NetGalley and Brilliance Publishing!

🌶️: starting in Chapter 2 and you’re going to need headphones if you’re listening
Taking place over a full season, this is very gossipy and fun!!

Thank you NetGalley and Brilliance Publishing for allowing me to listen and review this book! This was definitely a 3.5/5 stars and a 7.5/10 on the spice scale. The beginning of the book had me alittle all over the place with the fast changing perspectives from all the different characters that was just to much for me at points but as the book went on and the perspectives didn’t change as often, I was really able to enjoy the book and the different love stories going on. I can’t say I love one couple over the others because they were all different and great in their own ways! I truly enjoyed the book as a whole and am always a HUGE fan of anything racing and romance in books!

I love a good f1 romance and Andie definitely delivered. I really enjoyed this. It was a quick paced story (IMO)

The base of this book is great.
It is an amazing story, great plot, and very well written.
Would I recommend the audio? No.
There are too many characters in this book to have just one person narrate it.
Although she did an excellent job, and is so easy to listen to. I found it hard to keep up with who was talking. Or whose POV.
I would 100% recommend the book tho.

I want to thank NetGalley and Brillance Publishing for an advanced copy of this audiobook. The following is my honest review of Faster by Andie J Christopher.
I was really excited about the premise of this audiobook, but unfortunately, it wasn’t quite for me. The narrator did a great job, but I found the story to be a bit predictable and cliché. If this had been a physical book, I might have even DNFed it.

I have mixed feelings about this one.
Having three different storylines in this one, where everyone has a POV, is a little too much. Especially since there is one reader for all of the POVs, which really made it hard to follow along sometimes. Even at just over 350 pages, it wasn't enough time for all the stories to develop properly and with depth. It really turned into mostly spicy scenes between different people and then some mild plot drama.
Everyone felt pretty shallow throughout and it was hard to want to pull for anyone in the story. I just never really cared about the drama of these people.
I really struggled with the casualness of having a winning female driver in this story. Like, the first win? It would've been the first time a woman won an F1 race and it felt so ho-hum. Then she suddenly was competing for the championship as a rookie and I found myself gritting my teeth because it really needed depth and more excitement.
As the story went on, part of this really felt like a racing version of Pucking Around by Emily Rath.
The spicy scenes were great, and if that's all you want in a story, you'll love this. But if you want true chemistry and connection, personality and depth, you will need to look elsewhere.

The narration felt like listening to an insider gossip tell all... just way more explicit in detail. I thought the narration and production were good, my only complaint being petty! The long pause between chapter and start of the next sentence bugs me. I know, I know it's totally a me problem. It was a quick listen for me because of the interesting cast of characters.
I haven't watched the Challengers yet so I don't know how accurate the comparison is but based on the trailer I think it's fair. This is a great F1 book if you don't care about reading about anything happening on track and want all of the gossip and drama. I don't think there was a single description of an actual race in the entire novel. However, if you are looking for drama, lust forward romance, and Love Actually style storytelling I would recommend this book to you. Tropes include: ex boyfriends dad, work place romance, and marriage in crisis. You are getting 3 love stories in one after all.
I would not recommend this to readers who have a major ick when it comes to hard drug use or cheating.
I thought each character was well developed and compelling but would not describe all of them as lovable.

Story was hard to follow at first. It seemed to go from one person to the next quickly. They could’ve done so much with this had they broken it into 3 books one book per couple and really explored each of them. There was so much going on in a short time. The book itself was good but it definitely had potential to be great if the book was longer or broken up into three like I suggested. I also didn’t love how it just ended what felt like abruptly.

Rating: 5 Stars
Spice: 4 Peppers
3 different relationships set in the world of F1 and the perfect read as the F1 season resumes! I just started actively watching F1 last year and I was thrilled when Netgalley, Andie J. Christopher, and Brillance Publishing offered me an Advanced Listeners Copy. Thank you!
This is a book intended for mature, 18+ audiences.
Tropes Include (among others):
- Age Gap Romance
- Polyamory Triad (MFM, with MM)
- HEA for each couple
That ending for Micaela's story is so unexpected. I didn't expect this book to make me Laugh-Out-Loud but it succeeded.
From a stance of a Formula 1 fan, the sport involves a lot of politics. I can't speak to if the endings make sense as I do not have the knowledge to do so. As a casual fan looking for a fun romance read, this checked all the boxes!

Faster follows three different relationships in the F1 world. These are messy people who don’t always make good decisions, but that is part of the fun. Two relationships get far more attention than the third to the book’s detriment. I would have enjoyed this more if it focused on one or even two relationships and gave them more room to breathe. That said, I still had a fun time.
Lessa Lamb did a good job narrating, but with such a large cast the voices bled together. I do wish that a character’s accent was applied to both their spoken narration and their internal thoughts. To switch from having an accent to not when thinking was jarring and made it harder to follow.
Thank you to NetGalley and Brilliance Publishing for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.
