I’ve really been into cozy paranormal mysteries, so I was happy to see the second book in this series. Bex is a midlife mom who discovers she’s a witch, and she’s slowly trying to learn everything she needs. However, life keeps throwing obstacles in her path, like murders. I love this main character, and I love her friends. This is a fun, light-hearted, and engaging cozy paranormal. Fans of the previous will love this latest. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I love that the main character is a middle-aged perimenopausal woman! Hope that excitement and a new chapter in life is possible at all ages! The girl group in this series is to die for and the feel-good ride-or-die friendship we all long for. And throw in a talking animal familiar?! What's not to love?

I really enjoyed this as a cozy mystery novel, it uses the idea in a charming way and was glad everything flowed together to tell the story it needed to. It continues the world of Willowmere perfectly and thought it was a strong sequel in this series. It has a strong concept for a mystery novel and was glad I got to go on the journey. I was invested in what was happening and thought the characters worked in the story and was glad everything was so well written. The concept worked well in the genre and am excited to read more from Carmen Radtke
