i found this author through loving Denise Hunter books. and ive got to say that for once i wasn't mad at bigbrotheriswatchingyou style internet offering me up the "we saw you liked this sooooo" in recommending Savannah to me. because here we are with a wonderful author who i am quickly becoming to cherish. with stories and characters that heal my heart and pull at it in equal measure.
this book took me right into the i feel so much better for reading this book era. and i do love being there. Savannah knows how to write her characters. they are leaping off and through the pages at you. you want to know them, follow them, sometimes be them. i love her style of writing and how much each time i read her books i think she cares for her books, the characters, the plot and maybe even a little bit...us? because he works are stunning.
also could someone please come swoop me up and take me to Big Dune? like now?
this time we have Gigi and Austins story. well if i thought Callie and Jesse had me in her first book then dear oh dear this one is right up there with all those feels. hooks, lined and sunk me.
the small town once again pulls you in to its world and you dont want to leave. you get to know the town, the community and it completes this book and the stories within it perfectly. the characters and place all feel important.
and yes i did mention Callie and Jesse because Gigi is helping plan their wedding. and did we need to see this happen oh yes we did.
the romance that grew for GIgi and Austen was perfect. i was loving it. frankly they both had me swooning and smiling.
as always there was heart in this book. but also it was real, true, and not without life stuff coming along and showing you the unexpected thing or to as well.
loved this book. cant get enough of this author. my only issue is i now get full on angst over whether i will be lucky enough to read her next ones!

If I’d Have Known is a charming and engaging romance filled with witty banter, heartfelt moments, and just the right amount of mystery. I enjoyed every page and rated it five stars.

This book is a follow-up to The Summer of Starting Over, but this time is from the perspective of Gigi, Callie’s best friend. Even though this book is a follow-up, It can read as a stand-alone.

Set on Big Dune Island, Gigi Franklin is a lawyer who is trying to plan and keep Callie’s wedding a secret. This is because she is a country superstar. Can she pull it off while trying to build her own law practice? What will she discover in the process?

A fun, heartfelt, and entertaining read. The writing and story keep you turning the pages. I love how the characters are relatable! Definitely a feel-good beach read! A perfect book for your pool or beach bag!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
