I've never read anything by Becca and I'm excited to read another one.
I really enjoyed this book and just couldn't put it down.
I never saw the twist coming and felt it was the perfect ending to this brilliant read.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

3.5 stars. THE SECRET AT NUMBER 7 was a page-turner that hooked me from the start. The story centers around two couples -
* Miranda and Lee, current inhabitants of Herring Row. They moved to the neighborhood from London after a break-in at their previous home. As a result, Miranda has some anxiety and watches the neighborhood activities through her video doorbell.
* Anna and Fraser, new neighbors of Herring Row. They are a beautiful and mysterious couple who Miranda watches through her video doorbell.
One thing I’m not so sure about is how Miranda’s video doorbell is able to detect movement so easily at her neighbors’ homes. I have a Ring doorbell, and I can barely see anything beyond 20 or 30 feet of my yard.
These reservations aside, I thought the plot and writing were very compelling. And with short chapters and fast pacing, I flew through this book.
There are three parts to this book, and the first was my favorite. I honestly didn’t love the twist, but it was original!
This book has some similarities to THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW and THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN. If you like domestic suspense thrillers, give this one a read!
🌟Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.🌟

OMG, what did I just read?! Becca Day sure does know how to pull you right into the drama. This book started with a tantalizing glimpse into the chaos that lies in wait, then proceeded to weave together craziness with nerve-wracking suspense until my jaw hit the floor. What a curveball! I did NOT see that coming at all!! I'm still trying to wrap my head around that major plot twist. It literally blew my mind. I must admit to not being a big fan of the "secret", which deterred me from giving five stars, but it didn't ruin my overall enjoyment. I couldn't put this book down! It was a fast read, well written, and full of insanity. Loved it! I would definitely recommend to psycho thriller fans!
Thank you to Bookouture for granting me a digital ARC via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review!

Did she really see what you thinks she saw? I believe I would find out before accusing someone of murdering their wife. There are enough twists and turns to make you nauseous.

Psychological thriller with a good twist. I initially felt like it was leading somewhere familiar. Somewhere that I've been before in similar stories so was beginning to feel like I'd guessed the direction we were being led in. However, the book is split in parts and the narrative shifts. As a result, we see a different perspective that is clearly from someone who is overly obsessed and somewhat delusional. You can see how their personal circumstances have affected their relationship and other relationships that they either form or are forced into. It creates an interesting shift in the assumptions you've built so far and makes you realise that it's not as clear cut as originally felt. Anna and Fraser are toxic and Miranda only knows the half of it.
Really enjoyed the suspenseful journey that this takes you on!!

WELL! I’m going to start by saying - I picked this up and finished it all in one go…. This book had me HOOKED!! Every single chapter had me wanting more. The plot was unravelling quite quickly throughout, which I loveeee!!! (Sometimes slow burns can leave me feeling uninterested) but this was perfectly played out in my opinion.
I actually audibly gasped a few times during this book as there are so many twists and turns that I just never would have guessed; even right up until the very end of the book.
Overall I think ‘The secret at number 7’ was fantastic and would recommend any thriller lovers to 100% get your hands on this book!

This book started out as an average thriller with an overdone plot. Fraser and Anna move to a new neighborhood. One of their neighbors is obsessed with watching people after her London home was broke into. So while the reader assumes Fraser did something to Anna, part two shows just what is really going on in their lives. It was ok. Parts were eh.

Part One: Anna and Fraser move to the Herring Row. Miranda is a little paranoid after a break in before they moved, and spies on the neighbors all the time. She becomes convinced Fraser did something to Anna.
Part Two: The book takes us back and is told from Anna's perspective. Little sickening in my opinion what is actually going on with these characters. Part two lost me...I would not recommend this book. It was written fine, just not for me.
Side note, this book would not show up on my Netgalley app. I logged in and out numerous times and never showed up.

Oh My Gosh! This book was absolutely insane, packed with action and suspense, and had a wild plot! I was so consumed by this book. The plot unravels fast and everything plays out with great detail, just enough to give you background but not enough to spoil each twist before it happens. I wasn’t sure how this story could end but wow - from start to finish this was one if the best thrillers I’ve read in years! I was terrified of each character at some point because I became so suspicious of who could be trusted and who was just flat out crazy!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
