The voice of the character is young and this matches the age of the character. This is a YA book that is best read by an older YA reader.

this book took me into its world and didn't let me go. from start to finish i was right in there happy to be in Kat's world. and happy to be in this story that made me heart soar and made me care enough that at times made my heart hurt. i was so in deep i actually go anxious whether it would all work out ok for our duo. yup thats me caring too much about a romance in a book once again. but im not sorry. and that is the beauty of a great book. and this one was definitely a great book.
the writing in this book was so smooth so it felt a true delight to read, you just flow through it.
i cant wait to get stuck in to this as a series which means i fell for this book and now if im lucky enough get to follow more people from this group.
Eva and Aston are proper stars. and i love the best friend and then best friends brother thang we have going on. there is a reason some tropes have stuck!their romance and dare i say love story was written with exactly the right pace and plotting. it fit like a poem throughout the story.
for this book we are taken to Cinnamon Springs and its got all those gorgeous small town feels. Aston and Eva know each other and she would rather forget that since he once broke her heart. can i just say i think we all need an Eva in our lives. she was an awesome woman and a beautiful friend. and ok ok we might all need an Aston too. especially with the journey that man went on, with Eva at his side of course.
the banter and wit between the too was off any charts. but also the chemistry and more tender thoughtful moments.
this book leaves you feel heavy with feelings and then at once lighter and feeling good. this is a book that brings comfort. this is a book i could well put in my cherish forever pile.
i cant wait for whats to come next. i wont say who i want to see because i think after you all read it you'll know exactly who's stories we all went to see in the future!

Now then, I absolutely flew through this book and it was exactly what I needed when I read it. However, I think I ultimately wanted simultaneously more and less from the pages within.
Everleigh has fancied her best friend's brother, Aston from being a teenager. They almost form a connection but part ways under a cloud. Years later, when she is a small business owner and he is a hot billionaire, they end up sort of planning his sister's wedding together.
"How to Break My Heart" is dual POV and I really wish it wasn't as Aston's perspective reads like a man written by a woman trying not to sound like he was written by a woman. I understand this to a point as I've read enough billionaire stories to know that they ring jarringly untrue compared to any man who has lived ever (not you Jonathan Bailey). However, Aston's chapters felt like coarseness replaced any real character depth.
Leading me on to the wanting more, which is in relation to proper interactions between Everleigh and Aston. They stuttered through a lot of pent up tension to true love, barely having a proper conversation, whilst you know clearly fancying each other (when you know you know, eh?). It left me wondering just how quickly they're going to need therapy in their life together.
All in all, a fun new small town and host of good characters were introduced and I am eager to read the next in the series as soon as possible.

This was a beautiful love story. I love books that involve weddings and his one had a love story within a love story. I loved Aston and Eva and was curious to see if the he found their way back to each other and how things went wrong in the first place. Beautifully written, fast paced and heart breaking romantic you will so enjoy this book if your are looking to escape into a lovely romance read.
