This was my first book by Michael Wood. I did like it a lot, and kept guessing who the killer was. Even though I was wrong the ending seemed rushed to me. I loved the main character DC Matilda Darke, she wouldn’t let anyone push her about and took no nonsense. I also loved Adele her friend, friendships are so important and I enjoyed reading about their friendship and interactions. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series outside looking in.
