A beautiful story about a pumpkin who feels and treated as they don’t belong. This book should be a great reminder to not make fun of others for their differences. We should be proud of the things that make us different. I think this would be good to read to the children at school.
Thank you NetGalley & Natalie for a chance to read this arc!

Sweet story, lovely illustrations, and a lesson of powerful impact, presented with touching subtlety. This Children's story is a beautiful Halloween read, for pre-or post-trick or treat, or sweet bedtime story.

I feel like kids will very much love this. It has great colored pictures and a very good story, that there is something for everyone.

Who knew a story about a bumpy pumpkin could make me feel so many things? How absolutely adorable with a very important moral of celebrating differences.

My daughter's new favourite thing is reading new books on NetGalley... She calls it "netgalleying" which is adorable.
Anyways, the Bumpy Pumpkin is a book that we will certainly be picking up when it publishes.
The illustrations are so incredibly adorable and crisp. They are complex and colourful enough to keep interest but not so much to distract the reader (or listener). We loved all of the facial expressions that the pumpkins had and made note of them to help track how they were feeling (ex. on the page where the bumpy pumpkin is in the shadow of the others, we thought of words like "worried", "nervous", "embarrassed" and "sad" to describe how he may be feeling, and we talked about why. I liked that this was a great jumping off point for discussing physical differences between people and how no matter how people look, everyone has the capacity to be kind and deserves to have that same kindness returned to them.
And Olivia loving the "bumpy pumpy," as my daughter calls it now, despite his bumps and even because of them melted my heart.
5/5, lovely little read for my daughter and would be great in a Kindergarten classroom!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of The Bumpy Pumpkin! What a cute story about individualism and how being different can be a great thing to be! I always appreciate any story that brings light to how our differences are a good thing and what makes each of us special. This is a great book for preschoolers/kindergarteners!

Such a sweet books for young kids! Great for Pre-K age kids to teach them about accepting their differences and being proud of the things that make them unique.

What a sweet and inspiring story! This story is for anyone who ever felt left out or different. For those who were picked last for P.E. class games. For those who feel lesser than.
The bumpy pumpkin stood out as different from all of the other pumpkins. I love, though, how the pumpkin still held out hope that the right person would recognize how special it was.
This was such a good reminder to stay true to yourself and see the best in others. I cannot wait to buy this book for my children and their friends!
