A BIG thank you to #NetGalley and the author for allowing me to listen to the ALC in exchange for my honest review!
About the book: Madeline and Adam are high school sweethearts, and Jason is their goofy fun friend. The trio is always together, but one horrible night they lose Adam in a horrible accident.
10 years later, Madeline and Jason are together and currently planning their wedding. Madeline works as a teacher, and one day she happens to see a video being played on one of her students phones. In the video a man is rescuing someone from the ocean, and that man looks exactly like her Adam! Could it be him? Did he survive that horrible accident years ago? It’s highly impossible.
Against Jason’s wishes, Madeline seeks out to find this mystery man that looks just like her Adam. She finds him and his name is Garrett, and he’s kind but distant. Madeline decides to stay for the summer to try and find out for sure if Garrett is really Adam. But if it is, why would he have disappeared all those years ago and not found a way back to her. Or maybe Garrett is not really Adam after all. Madeline has the summer to find out the truth.
What I thought: I really enjoyed this book! It gripped me from the start and didn’t let go. A great mix of romance but also a lot of mystery and suspense thrown in. I can not wait to read book 2! And I would highly recommend this book series to everyone! I’m rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars!
Narrators Greg Lockett and Lauryn Allman do an amazing job bringing this story to life! I felt like I was watching a movie!

I was sucked into All The Ways You Save Me from the very first pages. The ALC was fantastic, the narrators did such a great job of bringing the story to life. I loved that it’s told through two POVs and two timelines, weaving between the present and the main character’s past. That structure kept me hooked and made the story even more engaging.
The characters feel so realistic, and the mix of romance, suspense, and emotional roller coaster moments kept me invested all the way through. Normally, I listen to audiobooks for about an hour a day, but this time I devoured it. Highly recommend if you enjoy emotional, layered storytelling with strong narration!

Thank you so much to @melissawiesnerauthor @bookouture for the gifted copy/ARC/ALC!

I loved this story! It was a sweet blend of first love, mystery, moving past tragedy, and found family. Madeline moves to a new town her senior year of high school, with unanswered questions from her mother as to why. She meets two boys on her first day, Adam and Jason, who make her first day and year so much better.
Madeline’s connection with Adam is so real, and sweet. It is described like what a first love is. Adam really cares about her and I love everything about it.
I loved the back and forth timelines. Present day Madeline is still dealing with whatever tragedy has happened in the past, though we don’t know the details right away. All seems okay until Madeline has to be rescued on a beach her old hometown by a gorgeous man with the same eyes as her high school love. She’s certain it’s Adam, but he says his name is Garrett.
Garrett is mysterious and as a reader we just aren’t sure who he is. We are right there with Madeline, with our mind playing tricks on us.
I loved the mystery element in this story. It was just enough to keep you guessing both in the present day and a bit in the past timeline too! I was suspicious of at least one thing and the ending of the story provided a a couple surprises!
Also, the ending sets up book two nicely and leaves me needing to read it now!! I need questions answered about Josie and Ian, and this creepy guy! Excited to read it!

Greg Lockett and Lauryn Allman did a great job narrating this sweet story! Lauryn was easy to understand both as young Madeline and present day. Greg did a great job as young Adam and Garrett. There was a difference in their direct and tone of voice from their youth voice and adult voice. They made the story enjoyable to listen to!

All the Ways You Saved Me was such an emotional, addictive read that pulled me in from the very first chapter. Melissa Wiesner blends romance, mystery, and heartbreak in a way that feels both gripping and tender. The dual timeline, showing Maddie and Adam’s young love in the past and their unexpected reunion in the present was beautifully handled, giving me the perfect mix of nostalgia and suspense.
I loved how the characters felt real and layered. Maddie’s struggle with grief and uncertainty really resonated, and Adam was such a strong yet vulnerable presence that I couldn’t help but root for him. Their chemistry leapt off the page, and the moments they shared had me fully invested in their second-chance story.
The book also surprised me with twists I didn’t see coming, which kept me turning pages late into the night. At the same time, it’s not just a romance, it’s about healing, facing the past, and realizing that love can be both complicated and lifesaving.

I love a romantic suspense/mystery and this one really hit that mark! The dual timelines and dual POVs made this book exceptional and easy to follow.
Maddie is such a realistic, heartbreaking character. I felt for her so much throughout this book. Watching her growth from beginning to end was probably my favorite part! I was literally glued to the pages watching Maddie unravel the truth. The men in this book were written to perfection. Both beautiful and ugly sides of them. I just can’t get over how shocking the ending was! Definitely a book I wish I could read for the first time again.
Greg Lockett and Lauryn Allman did such a fabulous job with the narration. They really brought the characters and story to life. I have no complaints on the way they told the story! I both listened and read the book and have to say you couldn’t go wrong picking either route to be consumed by the story!
I would highly recommend to all my book besties who love romantic suspense and drama!

From the very first chapter, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. The writing is captivating, the emotions are raw, and the characters felt so real that I found myself fully invested in their journey. This story pulled at my heart in all the best ways and stayed with me long after I finished.
Melissa Weisner has such a gift for storytelling, and I’m SO beyond excited to read her next book—I already know it’s going to be another favorite! Highly recommend this one to anyone who loves books that grab you from the start and never let go.

Prepare to be swept away in this emotional rollercoaster of a story about first loves and taking chances. This book hooked me from the start and I was utterly captivated into Madeline’s love triangle and the mystery of the story. All the true emtional depth I love in Melissa Wiesner’s writing can be found in this one.
This book is told in two timelines a past and present day. In the past Madeline is starting a new high school and meets Adam on her first day. She also happens to meet Jason and turns out Adam and Jason are best friends. Then something tragic happens. In the present day we are ten years later and Madeline is realizing she just feels stuck where she is and who she wants to be. If you need a book that is captivating and has a shocking twist add this to your tbr.
The audiobook was narrated by Greg Lockett and Lauryn Allman. These two really brought the characters to life. I loved hearing the story from their point of view.

Madeline and Adam were high school sweethearts, and Jason their best friend. One night Adam is lost in a terrible accident. Ten years later, Madeline and Jason are planning a wedding. Madeline sees a video of a stranger saving a child on a beach and she could swear it was her Adam. But Adam is dead. Right?
Wow, this book was good. A 5-star emotional romance that I read and listened to in 24 hours. I loved Greg Lockett and Lauryn Allman’s audio performance, I was so immersed in the story. I was so invested in the characters, rooting for Madeline during her journey. Ugh, it was so good. This was book one of the new Sandy Harbor series, and I am crossing my fingers that Ian and Josie’s story is next. There was a touch of spice, and some topics like cancer and alcoholism. Read this if you love romantic suspense!
Thank you @melissawiesnerauthor @netgalley @bookouture for the early gifted copy of this story. I really loved it!

Thank You NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the Early Listening Copy of All the ways you save me the first book in the Sandy Harbor Series. This was my first Melissa Wiesner book and I really do enjoy her writing style and he character building skills are top notch. The narrators Lauryn Allman and Greg Lockett were able to give each character presence and relevance to the story line. This book is about Madeline and Adam (high school sweethearts) and Madeline and Garrett (strangers 10 years later) It is a dual timeline read to which the Author does a great job keeping the storyline going thru the time jumps, I never once felt confused of time. I did find it a bit odd that a 27 year old English teacher didn't have any social media knowledge. The book goes thru many stages of grief, acceptance and ability to move forward. I'm sure I will read the Next book about Ian and Josie's story.

This book was a rollercoaster and I loved every second. It had more elements of thriller and mystery than I expected and that made it quite the page turner… I finished the audiobook in a day! In All the Ways You Save Me, Madeline and Adam were high school sweethearts. He died tragically in an accident during their senior year and it’s taken Madeline 10 years to start to heal. She’s currently engaged to their other best friend from high school, Jason, but when she sees a video of a man on social media that looks JUST like Adam, she puts everything on hold to chase his ghost.
This is the first book I’ve read from Melissa Wiesner and it definitely won’t be my last! I loved the way she wrote the characters in this book. They were believable and relatable, despite some extreme circumstances. And getting dual perspectives and dual timelines was really helpful in this case. In the beginning, it played up the mystery even more and then it helped put the details together by the end. There were a few twists and turns that I saw coming, but that didn’t ruin the story for me in any way. I just wanted to see how it all turned out! It had me hooked from page one. I also really enjoyed the dual narration in the audiobook. It helped me connect to the characters for sure!

Melissa Wiesner does it every single time. You think you’re picking up a sweet, light romance… and then suddenly you’re knee-deep in an emotional, heart-wrenching, yet completely heartwarming story that stays with you long after the last page. 💛
All the Ways You Save Me is told in two timelines. In the past, we follow high school sweethearts Madeline and Adam, along with their friend Jason. Jason and Adam come from very different worlds, and when new-girl Madeline arrives, she catches both of their eyes. There’s first love, unbreakable friendship, and the kind of summer drama that feels larger than life at that impressionable time in your life as a high schooler. That is, until tragedy strikes and Adam is lost in a terrible accident.
Now 10 year later, Madeline and Jason, who found solace in each other after Adam’s death, are engaged and about to be married. But then in a fluke incident Madeline sees a live video online… and is convinced she just saw Adam in it. Dun dun duuunnnnn....That shocking moment sets her on a journey to uncover the truth, and it changes everything.
I was swept away in this story. Melissa’s writing pulled me right in. Adam and Madeline as high school sweethearts were so sweet and adorable, and the mix of romance, mystery, danger, and nostalgia made this so much more than “just” a love story. The audio was fantastic, too...I listened in basically one sitting and felt like I was tagging along as part of their friend group.
If you love your romance with depth, emotion, and a dash of mystery, All the Ways You Save Me is a must-pick. 🌸

If I'm totally honest with you, I was dreading starting this book!
My last read by this author totally destroyed me and I suspected by this title and cover image, that this book might just do the same to me again!
Well, I was pretty much right and knew it right from the first few pages where we meet Madeline who after struggling in the water, is saved by someone who looks just like her ex-boyfriend - her dead ex- boyfriend.
This story then unfolds gradually through a dual timeline format.
I love this format as we really get to know first hand what the characters were like in the past, how they met, how things develop, all the feelings along the way and of course, how they ended.
In the meantime, the present day storyline evolves around this and we start to piece the mystery together.
Once again, the author writes characters that jump right off the page and I instantly fell in love with Madeline and Adam in the past as well as Garrett and the whole Sandy Harbor community.
There were times that I could guess where this story was heading, but it really didn't spoil the read at all - especially as there was so much going on and so many different threads weaving around each other.
Plus the writing style was again just so immersive that I was carried along with the flow from start to finish.
I loved the way things came together at the end and that this had a satisfying conclusion for Madeline and Garrett - but also that we were left with this ongoing mystery and a couple of other questions which lead us on, ready for the events of book 2.
Another stunning read - I honestly couldn't put this down!
Cannot wait to hear Josie and Ian's story and be back in Sandy Harbor soon.
💕Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for my ARC copy - this is my honest review 💕

This book kept me hooked from the very first page with its compelling love story and a mystery that kept me guessing. The backstories for Madeline, Adam, and Jason were so good and drew me in immediately.
I'm usually not a fan of love triangles, but it totally worked for the plot here. I will say, not all my questions were answered by the end, but it definitely left me wanting more. Can't wait for book two!
Greg Lockett and Lauryn Allman were new to me narrators. They did a great job drawing me in and keeping me engaged. They made these characters come to life and I felt many different emotions throughout the book. They narrate this audiobook in dual narration.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for an ALC of this audiobook. I voluntarily listened and gave an honest review.

EXCERPT: I was like a fish growing up on the Jersey Shore, eagerly diving into the swells long after the summer temperatures dipped into fall. But ever since Adam's car plunged into the icy river, and I futilely jumped in after it, I've been cautious around large bodies of water. As the memories of that night close around me - the sting of icy rain pellets on my face, the frigid water seeping into my clothes - I suddenly remember why I've stuck to the safety of my apartment complex pool.
Heart pounding, I gasp for a breath that will sustain me long enough to turn for the shore, but I can't seem to pull enough air into my lungs. I press a hand to my chest. Is this what a panic attack feels like? If I can just get back to my chair in the sand, I'll be fine. But the next wave rolls in, carrying me back to that winter day, to that half-solid river where I'm clambering over the rocks toward the slowly sinking taillights, chanting Adam's name like a prayer.
I turn my face toward the sun in the hopes of dragging myself to the present. It's not a bitter February day, and I'm not seventeen years old. The horror of Adam's death is behind me. I spent my childhood in this water; nothing is threatening me now except my memories.
ABOUT 'ALL THE WAYS YOU SAVE ME (SANDY HARBOR #1): I stand on the beach and gasp as a wave knocks me over, bringing memories of the night Adam the pouring rain, my voice shouting his name. Suddenly, I feel strong arms pulling me from the water. A familiar voice speaks soothing words—and my heart explodes with unspeakable, unbearable hope. I’d know those ocean-blue eyes anywhere. It’s him. It’s impossible. It’s Adam.
Madeline and Adam were high-school sweethearts, and Jason their teasing best friend. The trio did everything together. But one awful night, they lost Adam in a terrible accident.
Ten years later, Madeline and Jason are planning their wedding. They’ll never forget Adam, even though Jason doesn’t like to talk about the past, and happiness feels just around the corner. Until Madeline is saved by a stranger on the beach. As she gazes at his familiar features, she could swear he's Adam. Her Adam.
It’s been ten years since Adam died. And the man says his name is Garrett. He’s kind, but distant.
Maybe Madeline was confused. This handsome stranger saved her life—no wonder she felt close to him. The fact that his eyes, and lips, and dark wavy hair dripping with saltwater are just the same as Adam’s must be a coincidence. Right?
But a single summer can change everything. And as Madeline searches for answers, she’s forced to question everything she’s ever about her own memories, the boy she once loved, and the life she’s supposed to live.
MY THOUGHTS: Where do I begin . . . There is so much I want to say about All the Ways You Save Me by Melissa Wiesner, but I don't want to give anything away.
The 'dead boyfriend making a reappearance some years later - is it or isn't it him' trope has been done to death (pardon the pun) but Melissa Wiesner has breathed some fresh air and ideas into it and carried it off beautifully.
Madeline is an easy character to relate to. Even as a disgruntled teenager, she is likeable! Adam is an absolute sweetheart. Despite his hard life, he is kind and big hearted to the extent that he keeps bailing his best friend Jason out of trouble.
Narrated mostly from Madeline's pov, with additional chapters from Adam and Garrett, the story switches between now, when Madeline is trying to find both herself and the lifesaver on a video clip, and then, when she is the new girl in the high school and meets Adam and his best friend Jason.
The storyline not only encompasses romance, but also a mystery and some crime. I love the curveballs that Melissa Wiesner throws into the plot. Although some of the book is predictable, the journey to the end is an enjoyable one and the curveballs keep it fresh.
I also liked that not everything was wrapped up with a big bow. Some parts of the mystery are left to be continued in Sandy Harbor #2, All the Ways You Break Me. I can't wait to find out what went on between Josie and Ian; the identity of the stalkerish man in the bar; and why Madeline's family suddenly left Sandy Harbor all those years ago . . .
I was blessed to be given both an e-ARC and audio copy of All the Ways You Save Me by Melissa Wiesner and superbly narrated by Greg Lockett and Lauryn Allman. I enjoyed both formats equally.

This book was quite interesting. Its a story that goes back and forth in time exploring the friendship a d heartache of 3 high-school friends and their journey. One love story, one sacrifice and one betrayal. While the storyline itself was highly improbable, I liked this authors writing style and the characters. The narration was also on point.

They end up having lunch together with his best friend, Jason. Soon the three of them are inseparable, with Madeline and Adam being a couple. Overall, this was so good with some nice twists and I was engaged throughout! It was a lovely story of first love, heartbreak and eventually finding love again.
I’ll definitely be reading this author again as I’m really intrigued by the teaser for the next book in the series which will follow Madeline’s sister, Josie, and also give us some answers to some other little mysteries.
Narration notes:
They both did really good. I don’t have any complaints about their performance.

Nobody does emotion like Melissa Weisner. I will forever read anything she writes. This one was amazing.
