I did not nominate this title for the LibraryReads List as this is marketed as a children's book and will be read by primarily children. This was a good length for older readers who enjoy content related to facts and other compendiums of knowledge. Readers will appreciate that the content is broken down into sections (human biology, space, etc.). As a librarian I wish that the publisher would have had an index in order to help readers (and re-readers!) reference back to the page number of a particular fact. The illustrations are minimal which could be a turn off to some readers who enjoy fun illustrations. The summaries of each fact, or fiction, depending on the statement was a good length for a weak reader who is a bit older or for a very scrappy reader who is moving beyond their peers. Additionally, this format allows for expanded exploration of topics or biographies of the noted people.

As a parent of young kids who are interested in science, this book caught my attention. It contains many facts about a variety if different sciencey topics. It is very text dense, however, so I can see the information being broken down daily (like fun facts of the day) instead of read straight through. This is also suited towards older kiddos based on length/content unless an adult is reading it out loud to them.
Thanks to Cider Mill Press and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review.
