This book is very sweet. I love the illustrations and the sentiment behind the book. Humans have such an amazing bond with our furry friends, especially the little humans. I loved getting to read about this treasured relationship from a dog's perspective.

The intended audience for this story could be anyone, but it will resonate most deeply with those who share their lives with a canine companion. My own boy was snuggled next to me as I read, which made the experience unexpectedly emotional. For anyone who has ever had the honor of loving a dog, the message of this story couldn’t be more true. Dogs give all of themselves to us and ask for only one thing in return: our company.

The illustrations are beautiful—soft, dreamy, and ethereal—and they wonderfully depict a variety of dogs and children. A true pleasure to read!

What a charming book. I'm not familiar with the song, but this book was so sweet. I really liked the illustrations. I can picture this book being used in a classroom when the teacher talks about pets. I highly recommend it.

This book was very cute, especially with the illustrations. This is what I imagine goes through my cats' minds when I leave for work, vacation, or even a small trip to the store. A line I will never stop using is, "A pet is a part of your life, but you are their entire world". I would have loved it to be just a little bit longer!

Excellent book for a child and their dog. Beautiful pictures with a simple poem (song). Children could read this book to their dog at bedtime or would make an excellent introduction into poetry for a child.
