Thank you so much to Robertson Jones Publishing and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.

Macy is summoned by Princess Amelie the last woodland fairy left, with her magic shoes she’s off to find out what happened and save them all from the Ogre that took them.

This was so very whimsical and a great early reader book for children that enjoy nice fantasy stories. It takes you on an adventure around the world, as she uses her magic shoes to rush by it all, it shows you greediness and meanness from the Ogre and kindness and care from Macy.

A very enjoyable easy book, I liked going on the adventure with her it was all like one big dream. I enjoyed that the Ogre just wanted trees to grow, but didn’t have the knowledge for how to get them and did it all wrong, causing so much damage and hard along the way.

The illustrations though cute, seemed to change each time you saw Macy and Princess Amelie, little things would look completely different to the previous page which I found so very odd. Nonetheless they were still good to look at seeing parts of the story come to life.

If your young reader enjoys fairies, fantasy and adventures with them then this would be great for them to read, it’s got a great story to it, it’s simple but fun, it’s easy to read and great for those starting out reading a little more detailed chapter books.

I read this to my 7 year old and I think it may be intended for younger children, as the writing was super simple and there wasn’t really a strong lesson or purpose to the book. The pictures were cute!
