Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC.
Detective Kat Ballantyne is horrified to hear of a bomb threat at a local music concert where her husband and son are. She races there and luckily they're alive with smoke inhalation. 2 People died, but she's not allowed to investigate because of being too close to the case. But when a journalist dies under suspicious circumstances, she is allowed to investigate. She believes the death is related to the bombing and dives into the case, determined to find the culprits.
It was great catching up with Kat again and I can't wait for the next book!

Thank you, Amazon Publishing UK, for providing the copy of The Rebel Son by Andy Maslen. I love how well-drawn the characters always are. If you're reading the series, you can see how relationships change. Her relationship with her husband feels real, and doesn’t candy-coat how he’s feeling. The story was intriguing, with lots of red herrings. It left me wondering what the next book will bring. Another great Kat Ballantyne book! You can read this as a standalone, of course, but after you do, you’ll want to catch up on the whole series! 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

I loved the twists and turns. It kept me on my toes. Very hard to put down! 100% recommend!
