My Boyfriend’s Wife by Joy Argento is a twisty, emotional romance that has a few surprises. What starts as a messy love triangle quickly turns into a heartfelt story about trust, second chances, and finding love where you least expect it. Megan and Tara’s connection feels natural despite their complicated beginning, and the tension with Mike adds just the right amount of drama without overshadowing their budding relationship. Argento balanced the heavier themes of betrayal and family struggles with moments of tenderness and hope. There could be a bit more depth in some of the side characters, but overall this was an engaging, chemistry-filled romance that kept me interested.

3.5⭐️ rounded up! I really enjoyed the uniqueness of the story and the way the divorce situation was handled. I definitely saw the conflict coming from a mile away which was making me anxious during scenes I'd have otherwise enjoyed, but that anxiety is def a me thing. The ending and resolution felt a bit rushed.

Well this book had one of the best starts I have ever read, very engaging and a real page turner.

Given the title and blurb for the book you know the basic outline of the story from the start but it is so much more. The emotions throughout the book are conveyed well and it was nice to be able to see both points of view within the same scene, I’m not sure if it was my reading or the way it was written but I got a little lost a couple of times as to who’s POV I was reading.

Overall, this was a good story, a trope that I have not read before; nice and easy to read (I was able to read this in under 24hrs), but the most surprising thing was that the intimate scenes were about the emotional feelings in the moment not the graphic details; and honestly, this suited the book very well. I also found the sisters and friends of the main charters were a realistically portrayed and humorous.

This book also has my favourite last line as well ‘both her anchor and her wings’, it summed up the storyline beautifully.

Thank you to NetGallery and Bold Strokes Books for the chance to read this lovely book.

The book starts with a bang. As described, the man has been unfaithful, and the betrayed woman reaches out. Even though it feels like you are being dropped right into the middle of the story, while reading it never came across that way. The setup of the book, and the struggles the main characters go through, feel very genuine and sincere.

There is a certain element of “would it really happen like this?” but overall it was a very enjoyable read. Both main characters are pleasant to follow—very different from one another, yet I could easily relate to them. You can feel the connection between the two, their personal growth, and how their bond develops throughout the story.

The book also carries some depth: through the choices the characters make (which I won’t reveal here to avoid spoilers), it raises important questions about life—what truly matters, what you are willing to stand for, and how you can live in alignment with your passion.

All in all, I found it a very engaging story and well worth four stars.

"If it hasn't worked out yet, it's not the end." If the Other Woman has lesbians. I loved the premise of this book and really enjoyed it the first 50 percent I ate up. I feel like it started to lack slightly nearly the end and felt slightly rushed it would have been nice to see the characters develop some depth to them. I knew what was coming when we kept seeing the same character, I wish they'd manage to get a bit more help but I like how Tara finally put herself first.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book

i had high hopes for this one.... and though there were some scenes i enjoyed i felt it was missing something....

megan wasnt expecting the phone call from tara accusing her of having an affair with her husband... for a start yes she was seeing mike but he wasnt married.... but according to tara he was...

she ended it with mike not long after... she had been on the receiving end herself and vowed never again....

so when tara rang and asked for her help she was all in....

what she wasnt expecting was the instant attraction between them....

it all felt a bit rushed to me.... i guess u haul and lesbians is a real thing....
