This was a cute and fast read! It's a second chance romance that happens in the FMC’s small home town. I’m not a big fan of miscommunication tropes. In this one we see the main characters not learning at all from the original miscommunication which was disappointing and almost ruined everything. Moving past that, I enjoyed the narrator and the author’s writing style though so I’m still rating it 4 stars!

I adored this spicy autumn romance!

The Cinnamon Spice Inn centers around Madison (city girl called home by a mystery letter) and Zach (small town handyman & farmer who helps everyone) as they work together to restore the Inn to its former glory. Madison & Zach were sweethearts who went their separate ways and the Cinnamon Spice Inn renovations thrust them back together. There's also the mystery of who sent the letter to call Madison home to help her father at the Inn.

The town of Maple Falls has the most quintessential small town cozy vibe - everyone knows & supports one another, the town is walkable & friendly, they really dig into the holiday vibes, and there's plenty of small town gossip to go around. I legit thought "I could live there..." more than once!

I loved the second chance romance (slightly enemies to lovers based on how they ended things previously) and the mystery of the letters showing up. The other characters, like Kit and Madison's grandma, were great and bestowed some solid nuggets of advice. I enjoyed the townsfolk meddling too. 🤣 Oh, and that final letter? Sobbing.

This book felt like a warm and cozy fall hug.... like your favorite Hallmark movie.. but with plenty of added spice! 🌶🌶🌶 I'm quite excited to know this is the first in the Maple Falls series - can't wait to visit again!

Big thanks to the author, Harper Graham, the audio publisher, Bookouture Audio, and Netgalley for the ALC of this book. I enjoyed the audiobook experience and both narrators (Andi Eloise and Brandon Francis) were easy and enjoyable to listen to.

Cinnamon Spice Inn has the cozy, fall, small town vibes. I'm not a fan of the miscommunication trope.

Thank you Netgalley and Harper Graham for an audiobook ARC of The Cinnamon Spice Inn.
While I loved the narrator's voice, smooth and easy to follow along with, I wasn't a fan of the story. It wasn't believable to me that the main characters actually loved one another with the amount of miscommunications happening. Like......so much!!!! The amount of problems that could've been solved if they'd just talked. I usually love a cozy fall read but I didn't connect with any of the characters so it fell a bit flat to me.

The narration for this story was delightful! Easy to listen to, great cadence, incredibly fun!

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me the opportunity to read this story a bit early.

What a lovely Fall read! The Cinnamon Spice Inn is a cute small-town second chance love story that is heart warming and fun.

Fans of Hart of Dixie will love this small town Fall romance. It is the perfect combination of small town and big dreams, of people struggling between their own issues and wanting one another.

I do wish the ending hadn’t wrapped up quite so quickly though. I loved these characters and would have loved to see more of the story-I wasn’t ready for it to end!

I just finished this audiobook and oh gosh, I do not even know where to start.

When I read the premise, a fiery coffee loving city girl and a laid back handyman in a cozy autumn romance, I thought, yes, sign me up. Gilmore Girls vibes with spice? I was ready. Thank you to Bookouture Audio, NetGalley, and Harper Graham for the ARC.

While everyone else seems ready to dive into pumpkin spice and blankets, as a Mexican living in the Netherlands I feel like I never really got a proper summer this year. I still have summer dresses I have not worn because of the weather, so maybe I was not quite in the autumnal vibe yet.

The story follows Madison, a self confessed coffee addict and food writer, who heads back to Maple Falls to save her childhood home, The Cinnamon Spice Inn. Of course she runs into her ex Zach, the bearded handyman who knows exactly how to push her buttons. Forced to work side by side, sparks fly as they get ready for the big Halloween opening.

But honestly, I could not connect to the story at all. From the very beginning it felt like I was missing pieces, and Madison was just hard for me to warm up to. The whole dynamic leaned on miscommunication and way too much swooning for a supposed enemies to lovers, so it felt more frustrating than fun.

What saved me was that it was an audiobook and I could do other things while listening, because if I had been reading the physical book I probably would have stopped.

If you are already in full autumn mode and you love cozy small town romances with a big dose of miscommunication, you will probably have a better time than I did. For me, it just did not work.

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The narrator was great and made the listening experience better for me. It was a dual POV which I prefer in most books, I do wish the MMC had a male narrator but that’s just my preference. The story was cute and definitely had me feeling the fall vibes. The descriptions really had me feeling the autumn mood and was a nice fall comfort read. This is definitely a great cozy fall romance that I would recommend to get you in that fall season. The little side mystery was perfect too with the setting and I really enjoyed the reveal of it at the end of the book.

Thank you NetGalley for this Audio ARC.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn by Harper Graham is exactly the kind of cozy, feel-good romance that warms you up like a mug of mulled cider on a crisp autumn day. Set in a charming small town, this story blends second chances, community spirit, and just the right sprinkle of spice. The inn itself feels like a character—welcoming, comforting, and full of heart.

I loved the sweet romance and the small-town dynamics that gave this book such warmth. The pacing slowed down a little in the middle, but the heartwarming moments, lovable side characters, and festive vibes made it a joy to read. Perfect if you’re craving a light, wholesome, and cozy escape!

📚🍂 Would definitely recommend to fans of small-town romance and autumn reads.

This is the perfect, rainy day, cup of tea fall read. It hits all the right boxes of a perfect hallmark movie, it also kinda gave me sweet home Alabama vibes. While I normally love a good miscommunication trope I think this one missed the mark, it was almost unnecessarily shoed in (so many times I was basically screaming at my phone how dumb they were both being lol) and I felt like this could have been a simple second chance story that would have easily nailed it! The writing was really well done with excellent pacing and I am thankful to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read it early.

First of all, I’m so glad I requested the audiobook version of this on NetGalley. I LOVED the narrators!!!!! Especially Andi, she did such an amazing job. I was so excited when I saw she was narrating this, and she honestly brought the whole story to life. The characters felt so warm and real, and the setting gave me all the cozy small-town fall vibes I wanted. It’s the kind of book that makes you want to curl up with a blanket and a cup of tea, but it also keeps you hooked because you really start caring about what happens next. It felt like such an easy, feel-good read that I absolutely inhaled in one sitting because I could just not put it down. The story was crafted so beautifully it actually made me tear up a bit at the end. Definitely a 5⭐️ for me.

This story is perfect for this coming fall season. When food critic, Maddison receives an anonymous note from a 'Friend' that The Cinnamon Inn (her childhood home) and her father need some help restoring it, she heads back from NYC to Maple Falls. What she doesn't count on is meeting her old love, Zach. They didn't end things well when they split, so he's not a happy bunny to see her return.

First time reading this author and I really enjoyed this one. There were some points where it dragged, and there was a bit too much miscommunication between Maddie and Zach, but overall an enjoyable listening experience. It ticked off all the things that you would want in a Fall read.

I like the story but I really did not like the audiobook so I had to DNF it.

I couldn’t connect with the narrator. Some parts, like the letter at the beginning, were read over dramatically. Whereas the rest of it, felt very robotic. Especially the ends of longer sentences.

Reading The Cinnamon Spice Inn by Heather Graham was really such a cozy joy! Right from the first page, I felt like I fast forward from summer to the fall in a small town like Gilmore Girls were everyone knew each other and lend a helping hand! While listening I felt wrapped in warm blanket by the fire with a London fog while following Madison’s journey. I loved both Madison and Zach; their second chance story started with so much tension and awkwaness after a miscommunicated situation. Through the book their chemistry and growth through real communication made their romance feel genuine and heartfelt.

This book is definitely worth adding to your fall TBR! I adore the cozy fall vibes, and this book delivers the quintessential small town feel.

I actually really enjoy a sprinkle of miscommunication in my romance, and the beginning of this book had me thoroughly enjoying it despite second chance not being my usual trope of choice. I thought her determination to save the Inn, and his stepping up to help was great, and their reconnecting had me giddy.

In short, the MMC is a poster boy for wholesome book boyfriends. He notices details, he is staunchly loyal and quietly romantic. But honestly, he deserves better than the FMC, who is so anti-communication it is actually painful. It made parts of this book super hard to read, since she avoided talking about absolutely everything.

As for the audiobook, the narrator did a great job at the different voices and it was an enjoyable listen.

✨ ARC Audiobook Review ✨

I received an advanced listener copy of Cinnamon Spice Inn from NetGalley and Bookouture Audio.

I had a lot of issues with this book. First, it’s tagged as enemies to lovers — but it absolutely isn’t. These characters were childhood sweethearts who had a bad breakup, lost touch for six years, and then got back together almost immediately. That’s second-chance romance, not enemies to lovers.

Second, the reliance on the miscommunication trope was exhausting. It didn’t happen once, or twice, but three separate times — each one serving as a major plot point. The first misunderstanding was resolved around 30%, so I thought we’d moved past it. Then it happened again at the halfway mark. By the time it showed up as the third-act conflict, I was just frustrated. And to make it worse, the final “conflict” was resolved in about a minute — all of a sudden everything was fine? I didn’t buy it for a second.

I normally love small-town romances for the sense of community and warmth, but here the characters themselves felt flat and unlikable. On top of that, the writing bordered on repetitive, rehashing their original breakup three or four different times.

That said, if you enjoy Hallmark-style romances and don’t mind repetitive use of the miscommunication trope, you’ll probably have a much better time with this book than I did.

I unfortunately DNFed at 15%

I was having a really hard time with the forced relationship between FMC and MMC. I also think the narration and writing both struggled to give separate voice to the POVs switching back and forth. I also feel like the town was a bit much.

I am rating 2 stars due to DNF.

I think this book would be great for people who:
- like second chance romances
- like small town romances and are fine with repetitive tropes
- like forced proximity
- like family drama/family meddling

This book was great in the way Hallmark holiday movies are great—cozy vibes, happy endings, and not a ton of plot development. It’s definitely not anchored in reality, but honestly, I didn’t mind.

I love a good second chance romance, and this one delivered in the lightest, fluffiest, “of course they’re going to end up together” way. Nothing heavy or super substantial, but it perfectly captured the comfort and charm of fall in a small, impossibly quaint (and obviously fictional) town.

I did get a little frustrated with Zach and Madison’s inability to communicate like actual adults, but if you’re like me and sometimes just want a seasonal escape, The Cinnamon Spice Inn is a sweet little getaway.
