It might be triple digits outside, but I am ready for fall reading. The Cinnamon Spice Inn (Maple Falls, #1) was the ideal first book for fall reading. The story focuses on Madison returning to her hometown to help her dad restore restoring her family’s cozy inn, the town’s fall festivals, and of course, small-town romance.
Madison returns to her small town, leaving her big corporate job in NYC. Zach, her first love, is still living in Maple Falls and very much part of her family/inner circle. Second chance romance can sometimes be hard to execute, but I feel like the author delivered this one with a great pace and storyline. If you love Hallmark movies with a bit of spice, this one is for you. I look forward to reading the upcoming books in the series.
Thank you to the publisher for the gifted copy. Opinions are my own.

An Autumnal Escape to Maple Falls 🍂
I'm incredibly grateful to Harper Graham, Bookouture, and NetGalley for the chance to listen to an advanced reader copy of "The Cinnamon Spice Inn" on audiobook. As someone who listens to audiobooks during my daily commute, I can tell you that this one made each drive a special experience, offering a perfect escape from reality. The narration was clear and easy to follow, even when I increased the listening speed, and I felt completely transported. This audiobook is the perfect autumnal escape, a true equivalent of a cozy Hallmark movie with an extra dash of spice!
A Treat for the Senses 🍎
When you start listening, Harper Graham's writing transports you to the charming small town of Maple Falls. She masterfully creates cozy scenes—painting pictures of the lush autumn leaves, the heartwarming magic of a family's inn, and a sense of nostalgia, even if you've never been to a small town like this before in real life. Just a little warning: listening to all the descriptions of everything that's quintessential for fall might make you hungry for cinnamon rolls and an apple cinnamon vanilla latte! The author crafted a slow-burn romance that lets you savor every moment of the story.
A Heartwarming Journey 💖
In true Hallmark style, you'll fall for the heartfelt romance between Madison and Zach, even through all their highs and lows. Packed with lots of yearning and longing, this journey is a sweet, charming, and heartwarming fall romance about rediscovering first love and taking a chance on a new chapter. You'll also fall for all the animals in the book, who are all absolutely adorable—especially the cute puppy named Cocoa, who might actually steal your heart.
The Ultimate Fall Read 🎃
"The Cinnamon Spice Inn" is a perfect book to curl up with a blanket and a cup of cider, light a candle, and celebrate sweater weather. It's an absolute must-read for anyone who is obsessed with fall, summerween, and a reminder to embrace the magic of the change in seasons.
Perfect for fans of:
🍂 Fall romances
❤️ Slow-burn love stories
🎃 Small-town, cozy settings
🍁 Hallmark movies with a little bit of extra spice

This was a fantastic atmospheric cozy autumnal dream wrapped up in the apple butter scented flannel worn by Ex-Boyfriend Zach and I would not have changed a thing! Yes this felt a little like watching the hallmark channel in the best way possible because you know the happy ending is going to be so worth it.
I do have to say though.. if you are reading this for the enemy to lovers romance that this is adversed as you will be very disappointed. they are in no way enemies, just lovers with a well done miscommunication trope and hurt feelings. If you love second chance or small town Romances then you will absolutely love this book. I don't personally like any of the tropes I just used to explain this book and found myself slowing down my usual listening speed from 1.75X to 1.25x because I didn't want it to be over.

Small town romance, fall vibes and a little bit of a mystery, sign me up. I was super excited to listen to this audiobook. Madison moves back to her small town, after receiving an annoymous letter that her dad needs help running the family inn. Of course her ex still lives in the town and they run into each other.
My only gripe would be that I needed the male character to have a different voice actor. I like male voices to be male. I find it weird when it’s a girl.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn by Harper Graham is basically a pumpkin spice latte in book form — cozy, sweet, total autumn vibes.
Kudos to the narrator for delivering stellar performances of all the characters. Even the blokes.
She comes home to save her family inn, and boom — runs into her ex on night one. He’s clearly still obsessed, even if he acts like he hates her.
Now… this book is heavy on miscommunication. Like, she saw him playing pool with another girl and treated it like full-on cheating. And she does not stop bringing it up. Girl, please. It’s not my favourite trope and it really got to me towards the end, really frustrating but still really fun.
It’s not really enemies to lovers, more like exes to petty acquaintances to lovers again. But the pining? The attraction? Constant. And Zack — oh my god, the man can pine.
The side characters give full Gilmore Girls energy, which makes it even better. And the ending? Finally cozy, sweet, feel-good perfection.
If you want autumn vibes, messy romance, and a guy who just wants his girl back — this one’s for you.

I wanted to love this book, but it was only ok. The fall vibes were amazing, but I was just…bored. I felt like the playful banter could have been funnier and the side characters seem whiny.

The story follows Madison. a firey food writer and city girl who left her hometown six years ago. But now she has to go back. Why? That’s a mistery! The mistery came in a form of a letter from unknown person saying her family busines is in need of her help. Madison comes back to her sweet, cozy hometown to help her dad bring the sparcle back in their family in. Madison is smart and loving and she is ready to help her dad. But is she ready to face her problems that she escaped from? One perticular problem is hard to deal with… her hot, handsome and angry ex. The guy that broke her heart six years ago. Zack is your tipical small town boy that will never leave his family, people and friends. He is always there to help if someone needs him. He has always loved his town and everything in it! Until she came back and turned his world upside down… after breaking his heart six years ago and left without a word.
The begining was a bit too fast paced for my liking but when yoy get to know the characters it’s easy to fell inlove with that town and to feel the fall vibes! The spicy parts were 🔥 Loved their chemistry!
I loved how the narrators gave life to the characters!

Sometimes you are in want of something very specific with a book, like craving a well-loved dessert. Madison is back in her small home town from her big city job in NYC to save her family’s inn, where she has to face her ex, Zach, who is the town’s resident handyman. While this may feel Christmas-movie-on-Hallmark coded, the entire tale is set during the Autumn, with definite Gilmore Girls vibes.
The narration was good; Andi Eloise gave a clear and emotive performance that matched the tone of this novel. The occasionally daytime-movie-esque dialogue did not feel as cringe as it could have, thanks to her delivery!
I did find the miscommunication plot line a bit dry at times and there were parts that I felt dragged when all I wanted to see was our characters moving ahead.
Overall, this book ticks a lot of feel-good boxes and is the novel equivalent of comfort food. With reliable tropes, the right amount of fluff and the ending you’d hope for, this book is a treat.
Thank you to Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for this audiobook ARC; all opinions are my own.

Thank you to Net Galley and Bookouture Audio for the arc.
Unfortunately, this book wasn't for me, and I'm not the intended audience.
I love fall and coming into fall. I thought this would be the perfect book to start with. While the fall vibes and the town descriptions were immaculate, like the sound of a apple cinnamon vanilla latte has me intrigued to the pointbthat im going to try and make one myself. However, the romance and main character falls short. Madison is insufferable. It was hard to find any redeeming qualities, and the miscommunication trope was done poorly. The atmosphere and side characters were the best part. I adored Kit and even the friendship between all the characters. The background clucking hens were fun and realistic as well.
If you like angst and the main characters fantasizing in an objectifying way, this is for you. There is a side mystery of a letter that is pretty non-existent. Unfortunately, there is a lot of repetitive rehashing out loud as well as mentally about the same situations, just in different ways. With a little bit more information added each time. It looked like a word count filler. If Harper Graham wrote something other than romance more world building based, I'd read it. She shines in that department. Thank you again to Net Galley.

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (3.5 stars)
Perfectly cozy with a fall feel and small-town charm!
I absolutely loved the fall vibes in Cinnamon Spice Inn — it definitely got me in the mood for cozy sweaters, crisp leaves, and pumpkin everything. The small-town charm was irresistible and made the story feel like a Hallmark movie... with a little extra heat. There are 3+ open-door scenes — a bit more than I usually go for — but I just skimmed past and still really enjoyed the romance.
Madison's relationship with her grandma was one of the highlights for me — sweet, supportive, and grounded in real love. The second-chance romance between Madison and Zach was well done, with some great banter that kept me smiling.
If you're looking for a warm and spicy fall read with heart, Cinnamon Spice Inn is worth checking out!
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio

Thank you so much for the Audio arc of this book.
Best cosy book of the year!
This gives your such an autumn vibe and I really enjoyed it.
This has the mis communication trope which I'm not usually a fan off but this one suprised me. I enjoyed both Zack (grumpy) and Madison (firecracker) relationship and the what if they had spoke sooner etc.
Madison only going home to fix the inn up and then having to run into the love of her life and deal with what happened and why they broke up and Zacks opinions on it all. Zack and Madison were meant to be together, they just needed time apart to grow up and actually communicate properly.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn
By: Harper Graham
- cozy fall & small town vibes
- second chance romance
- lovers to enemies to lovers
- FMC returns home to save her family inn
- hallmark vibes
- mysterious letters
After her mom died, Madison left her hometown for a fancy job in New York, leaving behind her dad and high school sweetheart, Zach. But everything changes when she receives a mysterious letter saying that her family’s inn back home is failing. So Madison returns home to help her dad and grandma save the inn, which quickly turns into a reunification with Zach.
I loved all of the fall vibes and cozy small town setting in this book! I gave it 3 stars because I get so annoyed when misunderstandings and miscommunication cause the main romance to end or not get together and this book had several of those moments. Other than that, I enjoyed the characters and the book overall!
The narrators were great and added personality to the characters and their connections!
Content/trigger warnings: grief, loss of a parent
Thank you to NetGalley & the author for access to this ARC in return for my honest review!

2,5⭐
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to listen to The Cinnamon Spice Inn by Harper Graham in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I went into this one excited for cozy, autumn vibes—and in that sense it delivered 🍂☕🎃. The small-town community, where everyone knows everyone’s business (but out of love), was heartwarming and gave me all the fall feelings. I could practically smell the cinnamon and pumpkin spice.
Unfortunately, the romance left me frustrated. The couple claimed to be so in love, yet every conflict ended with silence, misunderstandings, or walking away instead of talking things through. Every time, someone else had to push them back together—and when they reunited, it wasn’t because they communicated or grew as partners, but simply through physical intimacy. That pattern made their relationship feel shallow, and honestly, I don’t think it would last in real life.
Would I recommend it?
If you’re looking for a light, seasonal listen with plenty of autumn charm, you’ll likely enjoy the cozy setting 🍁✨. But if you want a romance with depth, communication, and lasting chemistry, this one might not fully satisfy.

If this is not made into a Hallmark movie, then we have need to talk to someone!
This second chance romance had my heart from the very beginning! This book feels and looks like fall! The descriptions and the whole atmosphere was on point! The Cinnamon Spice Inn was so cozy and it felt like I was home! Madison recently came to visit to help her family's Inn after a mysterious note showed up in her apartment in New York City. During her visit she sees her ex-boyfriend Zach again, who is still the handsome small town boy she left after seeing him with another woman. Madison and Zach must work together to revamp the Inn so the town can get back on track.
I loved the cute fall vibes, I give it top marks for that. I also really adored the town that this was based in as I found it to be so comforting. I highly recommend this audio, as its a quick listen, and i cant wait for Maple Falls #2!!

Huge thankyou to the publishers, I'm listening to this at the moment so far I can say oh the cosy vibes are brilliant and alot if fun
I love the narrator thier story telling is brilliant.
I love the plot ,the characters are so wonderful i feel so warm and happy listening to this .
5 incredible cosy stars 🌟

This book really brought the autumn vibes making you feel all those cozy feelings of autumn. This was a nice book, I wasn’t as keen on the miscommunication trope that was used within the story as it just isn’t my thing. The characters were interesting and it would be good to see more of the side characters in coming books. Overall it is a nice second chance romance read.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn is a sweet, easy read set in a charming small-town America during peak pumpkin spice season. If you love cozy vibes and Gilmore Girls, this one will probably win you over. That said, I found the story a bit stretched. Madison and Zach’s romance felt stuck in a loop, and the lack of communication between them was frustrating to me. Honestly, a good heart-to-heart could’ve saved us 200 pages. Still, it’s a harmless, feel-good romance with lovely autumn atmosphere. Not quite my cup of pumpkin spiced latte, but definitely worth a try if you're in the mood for something light and wholesome.
The narrator of the audiobook did a great job!

This book honestly made me wish I lived in the northern hemisphere. It gave off those perfect cozy autumn vibes that made me want to curl up with a blanket and a hot drink.
It’s a small-town romance that follows Maddison, who receives a mysterious letter about her family’s inn needing help. That letter pulls her back to her hometown of Maple Falls. And who’s waiting there to help her with the inn? None other than her ex, Zach.
It’s a slow burn second-chance romance, written in dual POV from Maddison and Zach. The whole story is told in third person, with Andi Eloise narrating beautifully, and Brandon Francis stepping in at the end. As always, Andi did an incredible job bringing the cozy warmth and emotional depth to life. Personally, I don’t mind third-person POV, and I think it worked perfectly here.
While I loved the story overall, I will admit the miscommunication trope dragged things out a bit too much for me. But the cozy setting, the small-town charm, and the narration made it such a comforting and beautifully written read.
If you’re after an autumn-inspired romance with heart, atmosphere, and great narration, this one delivers.

.Second chance
.Small town
.Forced proximity
.Childhood sweethearts
.Enemies to lovers
.Single POV
I always thought I was a cosy reader, but apparently not the small town, autumn-in-the-air, Hallmark type of cosy reader. Give me a cosy fanfic and I’ll read it in a matter of hours, but this book just didn’t quite click for me. The atmosphere felt a bit forced, like it was telling me how cosy things were rather than letting me feel it naturally.
The story itself is built around a miscommunication trope: two people deeply in love break up because they never truly talked about their feelings. One stays in their small hometown, the other heads to the big city. Neither really wanted the breakup, but years later, circumstances bring them back together and force them to work side by side. For some readers, that setup will be exactly the kind of second chance romance they love, but I realized I’m just too straightforward to connect with this kind of drawn out misunderstanding as the main conflict.
In the end, I had to DNF this one, which is unusual for me, especially with audiobooks. Normally, I’ll just speed up the narration and finish, but this time I couldn’t quite get there. That said, the narrator was excellent, and I think I made it as far as I did (around 50%) thanks to their performance.

This was a nice, cosy fall romance to get me in the mood for Autumn. There’s not a lot here that hasn’t been done before, and I did find myself more interested in Maddison’s attempts at getting the Inn back up and running than her relationship with Zach, which I felt was repetitive and lacked depth.
The audio was generally done well, but I struggled with all of the young female characters being voice in a very high pitched way.
