A nice addition to any library - large or small. I enjoyed the cities chosen, although they have been done a zillion times in this same format. The colour palette for this book is too limiting for my taste. I understand it's artistic reach, but I think it's just fallen flat for me.

This book was really cool! The art style is very interesting and beautiful. I think this would make a gorgeous coffee table display style book as well as being educational.

Cities by Manon Bucchiarelli is an informative children's book about 16 cities of the world. This book has a beautiful design, with a lot of illustrations that stick to the pretty purple-and-yellow color scheme. I think it's a wonderful non-fiction book for kids!

Such an aesthetic delight from start to finish, even the index and glossary are beautiful. I love a consistent color scheme, and this one nails it. The illustrations are stunning, capturing each city’s essence through architecture, food, and cultural touchstones.

That said, I wouldn’t necessarily consider this a children’s book. It leans more toward adults, or at least teens and up. If enjoyed by younger readers, it would work best as a shared reading experience. The accompanying descriptions for each city are informative and enriching, but their complexity may be a bit much for children on their own.

With 16 cities featured from around the world, it’s a lovely visual journey for anyone who appreciates beautiful design and cultural exploration.

Thank you to NetGalley, Cider Mill Press | Applesauce Press, and Manon Bucciarelli for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and Cider Mill Press For the Arc!

I found this book to be short, yet also informative of some of the locations like Tokyo, Sidney, and many others. The artwork was vibrant and beautiful to look at. There's architecture, food, items, statues, historical monuments and more that represent the place best. My only problem is that the font is too small, even on a big screen, and wonder how that will translate into a printed book. Otherwise, it was an insightful and knowledgeable read!

What a gorgeously illustrated, easy to understand, and very helpful guide to some of the world's most well-known cities! Informative.
