Oh man, this was so sweet and heartwarming! Fee is having a tough time after her so-called boyfriend dumps her (again!). She gets totally plastered at the wine bar across the street from her flat and spots a flyer for the heartbreak club and decides to join. She meets Margot, Annie, Wren, and Fraser and eventually the bartender, Flynn, joins the club too. After sharing their woes, they all become like family to her and each other. Through all the ups and downs that follow, they support each other with some surprising outcomes. This story is fun, fast paced and really enjoyable with great characters and a gentle romance.

I must admit it took me a few chapters to get into the book, but once I was in I really enjoyed it.
A most eclectic bunch of humans makes the story stand out as usual. That very unexpected plot twist towards the end had me glued to the very last page. Can we hope fora sequel?
Jane Lovering is great at what she does and long may she continue.
Thank you to Boldwood Books, the author and NetGalley for an early copy.

Fee finds herself alone on Valentines Day and sees a flyer for a people who are alone. She decides to go and discovers 3 other women. Margot Wren and Annie and Fraser who thinks it's for meeting women. Also a very sarcastic barman Flynn

Flynn's bar is across the street from Fee's apartment. Despondent, she walks over to the bar and notices a sign for a meeting for those who had been disappointed on Valentine's Day. The club had two men and four women. I loved the make-up of the group. There were differences in age, wealth, abilities, and painful experiences. They fast became a support group, and Fee was so appreciative when they responded to her cry for help when her ex tried to break down her door. Lots of love and laughs. This was not predictable at all and lots of fun to read.

The Monday Night Heartbreak Club is a humorous and heartfelt story that had me smiling throughout. The main character, Phoebe (Fee), is easy to root for, and the supporting cast really shines as well. What starts as a group brought together by Valentine’s Day relationship troubles soon evolves into a true circle of friendship, full of warmth, support, and even a little mystery to unravel.

I enjoyed the mix of themes, such as friendship, romance, and fresh starts. I also really liked the way the characters grew closer as the story went on. It’s an entertaining, feel-good read that balances humor with heart. A great pick for fans of stories about found family and second chances.

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for providing the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Monday Night Heartbreak Club by Jane Lovering is a funny, feel-good story about heartbreak, healing, and unexpected friendship.

This book was like a hug in novel form. It starts with Fee—drunk, dumped, and spiraling on Valentine’s Day—who stumbles across a flyer for a heartbreak support group. What begins as a slightly awkward gathering in a Yorkshire wine bar turns into something genuinely lovely. The group is full of quirky, endearing characters: Margot, Annie, Wren, Fraser… each nursing their own wounds, each bringing something unexpected to the table.

I loved how the story balanced humour with heart. There’s a bit of mystery, a dash of romance (Flynn the bartender, anyone?), and a whole lot of emotional honesty. Fee’s journey from rock bottom to rediscovering her self-worth felt real and relatable. And the group’s undercover antics to expose Annie’s husband? Equal parts hilarious and touching.

Jane Lovering has a knack for writing characters you want to root for. This isn’t just about heartbreak—it’s about connection, second chances, and finding joy in the messiness of life.

Perfect for fans of Beth Moran or Veronica Henry, especially if you like your stories with wine, wit, and a little chaos.

With thanks to Jane Lovering, the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

Pretty much as described - a group who are unhappy with their love lives for various reasons, come together and find found family and for the FMC a new and more healthy romance. Ups and downs per the usual. Not sure I liked any of the characters, but that's just my take.

I'm sad that I've finished this book. It was funny (sometimes a bit slapstick funny), sad and witty in all the right places. With a good mix of characters ( I definitely have a soft spot for Fraser) and a plot that moves along at a good pace.this will be a perfect tonic for those autumn nights. Grab a hot chocolate and snuggle under a blanket with the Monday Night Heartbreak Club.

Fingers and toes crossed that this is the start of series as I'm not quite ready to say goodbye to Fee and the rest of this club.
