I think that this MMC is my favorite of 3– he is seriously swoony, a total green flag, and just sooo smooth. The FMC had a lot of trauma to work through, and it made her back and forth a bit tedious… but I did enjoy her character and what her backstory and experiences brought to the plot. Some parts did feel a bit dragged out, but ultimately I did really enjoy this third book. The spice was reeeeally hot and totally to my taste.
I think that this third book had the best audiobook narration. Just soooo good. The dual narration performance by Ariela Crow and Will M. Watt was unreal. THE ACCENTS. I couldn’t even keep track of how many each of them did— and so well!! The variation between characters was just superb… what a listening experience.

Audio ARC 🌟🌟🌟🌟
No Knight - book 3 in a series but you can definitely read it as a standalone
Well! I was giggling. I was swooning. And I was blushing!
I especially loved the first half of No Knight and the meet cute between Matt and Ryan. The pregnancy trope isn't my favourite but I didn't mind it in this book.
I enjoyed listening to the audio book but thought that Will M. Watt definitely made it. He was just perfection. I personally prefer when the Male Narrator says all the male parts and visa versa, not when females do male voices etc. In my opinion Ariela Crow was great at Ryan but her Matt voice made me cringe a little.

The review below is already on Goodreads and will be on Amazon once publication date has passed.
No Knight was a good book. Personally, I am not a fan that I didn't get to read it but rather had the audio but that's because I want to have them sound certain ways in my head. I struggled with parts of the book that irritated me but it may be due to the audio and the slow burn part of it rather than reading it at my own pace. I did love the story line and think it was very intriguing. Also loved the ending and how it all worked out!

This was a really good ALC from NetGalley!!
I enjoyed the dual narration, and thought the narrators did a pretty good job for narrating their chapters fully. I personally prefer when narrators always speak for their own characters, and these narrators definitely had a challenge with alternating between accents.
As for the storyline, the mistaken identity and accidental pregnancy tropes worked for me in this book.
I'd recommend to other people who are fans of these tropes, as I know they aren't everyone's taste!

I am sad to say this book has my absolute most hated trope of all books “accidental pregnancy”. I genuinely would love to see it as part of trigger warnings cause it’s such a letdown to be 45% into a book and feel like you wasted your time.
Personally accidental pregnancy trope never feels like a couple falls in love because they want it. It’s because they have to. They are going to have a baby together.
This book had a strong start but the meet cute should not have lasted 35% of the book. By the time it’s some time later and they meet again it’s pretty much half way point. Which is when Ryan realises she’s pregnant.
I finished it there. This one isnt for me.

**Review of *No Knight* by Donna Alam**
🎧 Narrated by Ariela Crow & Will M. Watt
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Narration | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Story
Oh, I *really* liked this one. It begins with an unusual request from a woman to a stranger at a bar. What starts as a spontaneous date quickly turns into something deeper—but a hasty retreat leaves our hero confused and longing for more.
Three months later, they cross paths again in a very different setting, which brings more clarity about who they are and what they want.
The story of Matt and Ryan's journey is engaging, funny, and a genuine page-turner.
Matt’s backstory—growing up with an abusive, alcoholic mother and experiencing severe neglect—was well written, and her fears around motherhood and living in a committed relationship were thoughtfully handled by the author.
I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be looking out for more from Donna Alam.
**Tropes:** One night stand, accidental pregnancy

🎧 No Knight by Donna Alam
Series: My Kind of Hero, Book 3 (but you can absolutely jump in without a map)
Narrators: Will M. Watt & Ariela Crow
Length: 13 hours, 16 minutes
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
🔥 Tropes
- One-night stand ➡️ friends ➡️ lovers
- Mistaken identity (escort mix-up, and yes, it’s juicy)
- Workplace romance with tension thicker than HR’s patience
- Surprise pregnancy (cue emotional chaos)
- Emotional trauma meets romantic persistence
- Banter Olympics: gold medal level
This is book three in the My Kind of Hero series, and while the characters do pop in from previous installments, you don’t need to read the others first. That said, once you finish this one, you’ll probably want to go back and see where these side characters got their drama from.
🎙️ Narration: Will Watt, Take a Bow
Let’s be real....Will Watt rescued this book. His Irish accent? Flawless. His Spanish accent? Seamless. His spicy scene delivery? Illegal in 37 states. There are moments you’ll want to replay just to hear that brogue hit a line like it’s dipped in honey and sin. Ariela Crow is no slouch either, she brings the heroine’s emotional messiness to life with just the right mix of sass and softness. Together, they’re the kind of narrating duo that makes you forget you’re listening to fiction and start rooting for reconciliation like it’s your best friend’s love life.
🧍♂️ Matt:
Matt is emotionally available, financially stacked, and chasing the heroine like she’s the last Uber on a rainy night. He’s charming, persistent, and occasionally exhausting...but never insincere. His pursuit is relentless, and while some listeners might wish he’d take a breather, Watt’s narration makes him feel like a man worth chasing back.
🧍♀️ Heroine: Smart, and Running Like She’s Training for a Marathon
She’s got trauma, sass, and a talent for emotional self-sabotage. After a one-night stand that turns into a surprise pregnancy, she ghosts Matt and keeps ghosting him until the final chapter. Her arc is raw, real, and frustrating but Ariela Crow gives her voice enough vulnerability to make you root for her even when you want to shake her.
🐢 Slow Burn + Banter Overload
This book is a masterclass in verbal foreplay. The banter is relentless clever, biting, and occasionally exhausting. If you love dialogue that dances and tension that simmers for hours, you’ll be in heaven. But if you’re looking for quick emotional resolution, prepare to wait. The payoff comes late, and the journey is full of emotional detours.
💬 Last Thoughts
No Knight is a spicy, emotionally tangled listen with narration that deserves its own award. The story leans hard into banter, trauma, and romantic pursuit, with a heroine who runs and a hero who refuses to quit. While the pacing drags in places and the resolution feels last-minute, the narration especially Will Watt’s brogue-powered performance makes this audiobook worth every minute. It’s the third in the My Kind of Hero series, but you can jump in cold and still catch fire.
I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review.

Wills voice is always so yummy!
A heartwarming, swoon worthy and spicy listen. Fabulous narration. Really good character development and the storyline was easy to follow.

I only read the blurb before starting this one, and I’m so glad I did. It was such a sweet romance with low angst. Honestly, exactly what I needed after so many dark romances💕
Matt and Ryan’s story was adorable, and I loved the way they met (both times, lol). It just made their connection feel that much more special.
Also, shoutout to the narrators because they did such a good job. I actually think the audiobook made the whole experience even better.
And even though this is book three in the series, it totally works as a standalone—so don’t stress if you haven’t read the others yet.

Too many great things to say about this book, not enough time!
Donna Alam did an amazing job of writing No Knight. I have not read the previous two books in the series, but I will be adding them to my TBR now. This book had so many surprises that I was never bored. Matt is everything a knight should be than some. Ryan was real and relatable.
The narrators of the audiobook did an amazing job of capturing the characters and creating the seen anyone could invision. The spice was hot, banter was funny, and side characters amazing!

This is the first book of Ms. Alam's that I have enjoyed as well as the last book in a series. With that being said, this book can definitely be read as a standalone read.
In this book there is Matt and Ryan. The two meet in a bar and in a case of mistaken identity attend a wedding together for Ryan's ex and boss. Ryan believes that Matt is a sex worker but not the individual that she hired to attend the event with her. After attending the wedding, the pair have one hot night together and do not expect to see each other again but fate and other forces have different ideas for them in the form of an accidental pregnancy.
Matt, in NYC to attend coincidentally the wedding of his ex when he meets Ryan. He agrees to go with her to her event and pose as her boyfriend that led to one hot night together. He returns to his life abroad but can't get Ryan out of his head when he sees her from a far and then runs into her at her new job. What he doesn't expect is the bombshell of a baby but is willing to do anything to keep her in his life.
This is definitely not the typical one-night stand read that ends with a baby. It definitely brought new meaning to chance encounter and when Ryan moves in with Matt the close proximity trope enters the picture. Where this is the third book of a series, it can definitely be read as a standalone since I was able to keep up with the story and the characters. The characters from previous books do make an appearance but their storyline did not make it confusing. The characters were well written, and Ryan definitely comes with a truck load of issues that stem from an abusive childhood. They had chemistry that was off the charts as well. Where his book is a little on the long side, the plot did flow. I did think that the ending was a little rushed, but it still worked.
Overall, this was a great read that I enjoyed from the start and would recommend to others. I will also have to look into other books by this author.

This story had such a fun setup - a mistaken identity romance with a fake date, a wedding, and an unexpected one-night stand that turns into an accidental pregnancy. Ryan (the FMC) hires an escort to attend her ex’s wedding, but when Matt (a billionaire CEO) shows up instead, she assumes he’s the man she hired. Amused, Matt goes along with it, and the night leads to much more than either expected. Months later, Ryan runs into Matt in London during work, only to discover who he really is, and the drama - and groveling - begins.
The premise was promising and had potential for humor, tension, and swoony romance. Unfortunately, I struggled with the execution. The dialogue dragged in places, the banter often felt repetitive, and at times the characters leaned into stereotypes. I enjoyed the dual POVs, but I felt we got far more of Ryan’s perspective and not enough of Matt’s, especially toward the end. While I did enjoy watching their relationship slowly develop and thought the ending was sweet, the overall story just didn’t hook me the way I hoped. A nice enough contemporary romance, but ultimately one that fell a little flat for me.

I was stoked to check this out, as this author has been on my ‘to check out’ list. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a plot. There’s just droning on by both leads, rife with ‘telling’ writing style which makes it very dull … and then chapters-long smex scenes.
If you like your spice plot-free, this is definitely the book for you, unfortunately, for me, I read for plot.
The chemistry didn’t come across for me; I get that there’s supposed to be lots of it, but as it wasn’t shown, this didn’t hit.
Not for me.
🎧 Audio:
Overall smooth sound quality with great voice acting and pretty accents, mostly. 4 stars on this end.

I thought this book would be a fluffy read, but it had a lot of layers to it! We start out with a steamy meet cute between two strangers, but the story becomes more complex when the FMC finds out she is pregnant after a one night stand with the MMC. The MMC falls hard and fast, but the FMC has a lot of trauma to work through in order to open up her heart. This book was so much more than a rom-com. Readers of this series will love this third installment.

I really enjoyed this! My first read from this author, and won’t be my last.
This is a very moreish book—exactly the kind of easily devoured read I was looking for. It was funny, rivetingly steamy, and cut deep at times. Quite the roller coaster!
The audio narration is EXCELLENT. I truly think it added so much to my reading experience—I read a lot of audiobooks and I am pretty sensitive to bad accents, so it was a delight to hear the male narrator nail both an Irish and Spanish accent (the MMC’s ethnicity is half/half). Both narrators performed in such a considered and measured way, I was really impressed by how engaging it all was.
This actually could have been a 5 star for me, being such a fun read that I couldn’t put down, but I had to knock off a star for a few missteps. The main issue for me were the (imo) unnecessary HP references. These days, given JKR’s anti-trans activism, these cultural references are either made obliviously (which is disappointing) or knowingly, which tells me the author may be signalling their support for her bigotry. I truly hope it’s not the case, and will give the author the benefit of the doubt until I know more.
While on politics—just noting that billionaire romance is a guilty pleasure read for me, as I don’t believe billionaires they should exist outside of fiction ;)

No Knight surprised me with its heart and charm. The Irish hero was absolutely swoon-worthy, and while the pregnancy storyline caught me off guard, it was handled with so much strength and flair that I ended up loving it. The romance balances spice with genuine emotion, leaving me uplifted and smiling.
