All I want to do is hyperventilate and scream to the universe how much I loved this 🖤 I've attempted to put my spoiler-free thoughts into words here.
I have been looking forward to this book for so long and I feel extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to read it early.

First off, may this book be a sign to anyone who has ever complained about an author pushing back a publication date. You can tell Amber has been so thorough in her writing and story telling, and she's ended up with a masterpiece. I'm so grateful she was able to take her time and avoid the pressure to publish by an earlier date.

I slipped right back into the world despite it being over a year since I read book 3. Amber's writing is so beautifully done - every chapter is perfection, and adds to the story and the humour infused throughout is incredible. I love these characters so much, and getting to be in the world again was the best 🙌

This book is so worth the hype. The series is immaculate, and if you haven't started it yet there is no better time than the present to move it off your TBR.

There is so much more I have to say, but I am so conscious of not wanting to spoil even the tiniest part as you all deserve to experience what I've just been through! Now I'm off to lie in the fetal position and stare at a blank wall while I process 😅🖤
Thank you so much to Headline for the ARC via NetGalley and for giving me the opportunity to share my honest thoughts on this book.

Firstly thank you to NetGalley, headline eternal and Amber v Nicole for an ARC of this book! Honestly I am so grateful as this is one of my favourite series of all time. This book didn’t disappoint and only made me love this series more. There are so many twists and turns and the love Dianna and Samkiel have for each other makes me want to cry I love them so much! I’m already left dying for book 5 to see how the series continues

”Oh, f*ck.” The last sentence of this book basically sums up my thoughts.

Dianna and Samkiel are the epitome of I will burn the world for you. They are both each others’ ruin.
The Worldender may have returned, but he has a weakness. The monster may have awakened, but she burns for Samkiel only.

This is like a more romance heavy Throne of Glass. We have fiercely protective found family, badass heroines, men who would kill legions for them, worlds.

”When it comes to you, I’ll always choose you, no matter the consequences. The world can burn, and the realms can fall to destruction. If there is ever a choice between the two, I need you to know that neither the crown nor the throne means anything to me. None of it would matter without you. It’s always you. You are my priority. I may be a god, but you are the altar at which I worship.”

My biggest complaint is that this series, that each book, are/is too long. Especially considering the romance arc for our main two characters were resolved earlier on. In some ways, this is refreshing as it means we don’t have to deal with bothersome miscommunication or doubts.

HOWEVER, you get copious possessive, obsessive, jealous, psycho moments.
Love declarations in the middle of battles, hot and heavy scenes when they should be fighting for their lives.

It manages to place wholesome scenes in the midst of darkness which just adds to the addictiveness of following these characters.

He tossed his arms up in disgust. “The world around us is on fire, and you two are shoving your tongues down each other’s throats. I’m honestly not the least bit shocked.”

There are a lot of perspectives to balance four books in from bad guys to good guys to side characters. Each one is written in the first person though, which does mean you lose that intimate connection with Dianna.

This also means there are so many names to keep track of, especially when we’re introduced to past trusts and new alliances in different worlds.

All in all, a step up from my issues with book three and this has renewed my enjoyment of this series. I will be continuing.

Arc gifted by Headline.

As expected this was a 5 outta 5 stars for me! I love these characters and this world so so much. I can never predict what’s going to happen next, it’s always so twisty and we get even more world building with each book.

All I will say is poor Reggie 🥺☹️

And that ending, I need the next one immediately!

AMBER YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM MY THERAPIST!!!! I am DEVASTATED 😭😭😭

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and all the rest I am unable to give.

I am absolutely honoured to have been granted an ARC for The Wrath of the Fallen and have shamelessly binged it in less than a day. Will I regret this choice when I have to wait for Book 5? Probably, and guess what? Worth it.

I could sit and write an in-depth review about how utterly incredible this book is, but if you’re here because you’ve read and loved the first 3 books in the Gods & Monsters series, then it would probably be futile anyway. This book encapsulated everything I love about this series: the rich and complex world-building, Dianna and Samkiel’s intense, earth-shattering love story to the rollercoaster of emotions you experience as the book progresses, this series holds such a special place in my heart and Book 4 is no different.

Thank you so, SO much to Amber, the publisher and to NetGalley for granting me this advance copy.
