Second chance romance with more than a little baggage attached. Dual perspective and the fun of knowing they both always yearned for each other, with the new addition of her very active daughter. Entertaining and great for the weekend or vacation.

I really liked Theo and Sadies story, they had good banter and communication.

Theo is a billionaire who is helping out his friend's sister. He is letting Saddie and her three year old daughter Lottie stay at his appartment. Theo has been friends with Saddie's older half sister Taylor most of Saddie's life. Saddie just recently left a very bad realtionship with her baby daddy. Saddie has had feelings for Theo for many years but Theo rejected her in the past due to their twelve year age gap. I enjoyed seeing the realtioship progress bewteen the characters. The story did seem a little short.

so many tropes here, age gap, billionaire, second chance, best friend's sister, single mom, close proximity. Theo is 12 years older than Sadie, who is escaping her abusive ex at his apartment thanks to her sister's instigated insistence. Theo and Sadie shared a kiss 7 years ago and it changed them both. Theo turned her down then and she was devastated. Sadie's sister didn't know when she suggested Sadie stay with Theo while her ex could be taken into custody. living together helps Sadie regain her confidence and old feelings come roaring back. luckily they're isn't too much miscommunication in this story.

You’d expect the anger at secrets and lies and sneaking around, right? What we get includes anger at secrets and lies by omission, but not in the way you’d think. Instead, we get healthy communication, the knowledge that hearts weren’t so easily disguised, and the courage of one woman to face her tormentor while also baring her soul for everyone else who might need to see that they aren’t alone. And trust me, it does resonate in a lovely way when that moment comes and the proof of “you tried, but you didn’t break me” is front and center.

Theo and Sadie are sort of perfect together. Both have pain in their pasts. Both feel inadequate when it comes to the important things. And both love hard, even if they don’t want to admit it. Sure, family and friends could muddy the waters, but it turns out that sometimes, those watching from the outside have the clearest view possible. And because of that, I wonder whether the view I seemed to have of THEM is right, or if it’s just a trick of the light. We shall see….

This was a good read, I really enjoyed these characters and the plot.

This book was a fast paced, quick read.

I liked Theo and Sadie as a couple, they had lots of chemistry and I loved the way Theo was with Lottie.
Sadie was brilliantly strong, as a survivor of domestic abuse. Although this is not on page, it could be a trigger for some.

Overall this book was fairly surface level and didn't go too deep, making it a nice quick easy read.

Theo lucha contra sus propios límites morales y la lealtad hacia su mejor amiga, mientras Sadie carga con las cicatrices de una relación abusiva y el miedo a volver a equivocarse. La autora logra transmitir la vulnerabilidad de ambos, pero también la ternura y la pasión que los une.


Al principio me confundí porque se dan por sentadas ciertas situaciones pasadas que el lector no conoce. Esta parte fue extraña, ya que da la sensación de que existiera un libro previo. Sin embargo, conforme avanza la historia aparecen flashbacks que ayudan a comprender mejor esas situaciones, aunque creo que habrían quedado mejor al inicio.

This book had some of the most common tropes, best friends sister, childhood friends, age gap, second chance. The book does have a lot of triggers so please read them before you delve into the book.

Theo was a decent guy, but his blinders needed off earlier. Like seriously the guy was in denial, but I liked how protective he was with Sadie and her child. Sadie was strong, and I liked her take charge attitude.

Overall this was okay.
