This was a really well done historical novel, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed the overall feel of this book. It was realistic and had that resilience that I was hoping for and enjoyed how good everything worked overall. The characters were everything that I was looking for and enjoyed the overall feel of this. Beth Brubaker has a strong writing style and it worked in the historical fiction element that I wanted.

This story is definitely a hearbreaker at times but it's also filled with determination and whatever it takes for this courageous woman to get what she wants back.
I simply couldn't put this story down! I was immediately drawn in from beginning until the end.
