What's not to love about this book. It's set in Cornwall, it's about books, it has romance and it's a Christmas theme. Just perfect. Loved the characters, loved the setting and I love Christmas. Tamara Pascoe ha vivido toda su vida en el pequeño y pintoresco pueblo de Penworthal, en Cornualles. A sus casi cuarenta años, su vida gira alrededor del pub donde trabaja como cocinera y camarera, de su pasión por la repostería y del “Back of Beyond Book Club”, un club de lectura que comparte con sus mejores amigas y que se ha convertido en su refugio. A very gentle book about people who all experience difficulties from time to time, but in most cases have their friends to rely on for some support. And as Christmas can be both a time for warmth and festivities, it is also in that same period of the end of the year that you miss those or what you've lost.

I am glad that is also mentioned in this book, as opposed to pretending everything being alright. Indeed, letting go of the hard stuff is hard, so... don't let us be so hard on ourselves, seriously. We all need to matter, and thankfully – while struggling with that – books can be our painkillers.

Yup, lots of wise words... some from the book, but which those are I cannot reveal as I am not supposed to quote from an ARC. So there is only one thing for it: go read the book for yourself :)
