A sweet small-town, second-chance romance! Lindsay is back home after her divorce, Nick’s in town for his mom’s birthday, and when they run into each other at the airport, all those high school sparks reignite. I loved the mix of nostalgia, chemistry, and the way they both see each other in a whole new light. Perfect for fans of heartfelt, feel-good romance.

Honestly, this book felt a little a little too fast and a bit too amateurish.

Nick and Lyndsay were in high school together and felt some unexplored attraction. he was the nerd & she was the cheerleader. Now, years later, they meet again in their hometown, and the attraction still exists. He's a successful hot shot lawyer working endlessly, and she's a broken-down divorced housewife.

Things are hot and heavy, but Nick wants to slow down, causing a rift. The third act angst was totally annoying. You're in your 30s people talk to each other, please!!!!

As characters Nick is stereotypical, runs away from small hometown kind of guy. I liked his friend Matt and his family. I cannot say I got a sense of what type of person Lyndsay was. She was just not memorable.

This was an okay read.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
