This was a book that I found the beginning of to be really compelling and absorbing, and then at halfway it became quite repetitive and dull so I zoned out from the characters and caring!

It is a look back over a number of years, and features Rachel who is dealing with health issues and meets a boy in hospital, and they really connect knowing that they probably won't see one another again. The story then follows their lives over the years as they keep re-finding one another at certain key moments in their lives and how things play out.

I liked the fact that we got to follow both their stories as they both dealt with different issues over the year and how that shaped them as people, and how they coped when they learnt about certain truths.

It showed how life can take you on different paths, but there are some people that can always be around in the background to take you back to when you were different people.
