Some of these recipes looks great—I really want to try the hot chocolate and the slow burn! This would be awesome for my book club! I love how the fantasy aspect was incorporated into the pictures and to match the names. I also liked how they all have pictures with details showing how they would look. I just personally didn’t love the design/ art style necessarily. But I think a lot of others would!

Yummm these sound amazing!! The graphics are beautiful and the names are so funny.
My favourites sounds like they would be Moonlight & Shadows, Brojito, the Faerie Fizz pitcher and the Summer Ball Sangria!
Would buy this for my friend and try out these cocktails!

A beautiful book to have for a theme night or a book club! The fonts and illustrations were a great choice! Some of the recipes call for unique ingredients or things I wouldn't typically have on hand, but still such a fun book!
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

A fabulous beginner-level grimoire for the book besties! Most readers will adore having several quick, relatively simple recipes at hand for book club night! I loved the unique names and usage of several lesser-known adds like absinthe, but was disappointed by the lack of variety. Although several of the pitcher recipes piqued my interest, there were few cocktails with herbaceous elements that, IMHO, are an absolute necessity for an elevated cocktail. Zero-Proof section was disappointing, I would have hoped the author to at least research some of the many zero-proof alcohols now on the market, so as to offer something besides various juice and soda combinations. And, my sincerest apologies, but to have a drink recipe book published in 2025 without either this research or recommendations for either zero-proof or non-dairy subs, I just can't see myself purchasing. Illustration and presentation was a 10/10.

Such a fun recipe book! The cocktails sound great and the illustrations are cute. They all follow the theme well!

What a fun cocktail book! You can tell the author was on the pulse of what is popular and what readers like in terms of names, tropes and overall aesthetics— also they are clearly knowledgeable on ingredients and their pairings. Making your own syrups is definitely something I want to explore!! The connections between tropes and ingredients is really cool. I do think having real photographs of the cocktails would have enhanced the reader experience (imagine all the cool sets up and fun background easter eggs that could’ve been created) but I still enjoyed the artwork throughout!
This would make a great gift for readers of romantasy or a bookclub pairings!
Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the e-arc <3

This was a great recipe book! I can't wait to try them :D the alcohol-free cocktails sound delicious and they'll be great to try with my kids at Halloween.

Wonderful recipe book! The cocktails all sound delicious and I love the illustrations! I'm going to try some of the mocktails with my kids :D

Thank you to Jassy Davis, Cider Mill Press, and Net Galley for the opportunity to review this cocktail book.
I've collected many themed cookbooks over the years for various franchises, so it's always fun to see what the "nerd sphere" can come up with next. I also have a background in food writing through a side specialization in my journalism program.
The naming of the cocktails plays perfectly into the tropes in romantasy novels and gently pokes at them in a lighthearted way. They seem to be twists on general concepts of cocktails, so it works for the space it's in. I also appreciated that there is a non-alcoholic section, as
I am disappointed not to see actual photos of the cocktails. I am not sure if the images within are AI or hastily drawn, but they all seem to be extremely similar to a fault. It also makes me worry that none of the cocktails have been tested and tasted. Viewing the quality of the art on my PC reader also shows that some of the images seem somewhat pixelated, so I hope in the final printing that they will be crisp if the images are not replaced by real photographs.
While this is not my favorite rendition of a cocktail book, I'm sure there will be some who find enjoyment with it. This could be a decent option for those romantasy book club nights!

A fun volume to have on your shelf, especially if you love cocktails and need new ideas. The book is colourful and enjoyable to read... I had a blast and finished it a lot faster than expected. Definitely recommended.

A very fun collection of cocktails. Absolutely love this format of recipes, need more like this!!!
Ive made quite a few of these and my fave so far are starlight pool and shadow daddy, I will be going through the remaining ones very soon at book club

This was such a fun cocktail guide to try out with my fiancé. Every drink had a fun romantsy name and the whole vibe of the book really leaned into that energy. I loved that every recipe came with a fun piece of art depicting it. I tried out the Forbidden Kiss, which was a delightful sweet cocktail, and my fiancé tried the Dragon Strike, which is pretty similar to what he normally drinks. These would be perfect for a book club girls' night!
5/5 for a fun recipe book. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me test these recipes out early!

This is such a fun collection of cocktails! Some of the descriptions made me laugh (and made me wish i liked whiskey!) . Definitely a fun gift for someone in your life who loves cocktail making and Romantasy books - I have already bookmarked a few to make on our next girls night.

This is such a fun idea for a cocktail book.
I feel like I usually see fantasy inspired cookbooks but never really ones for drinks.
There are loads of options here there is definitely something for everyone and there are even non-alcoholic ones which I think is great!
I also like that there are recipes for syrups in the front and I can’t wait to try the lavender syrup.
I also love the little descriptions of each drink as there a bit funny and relatable to most romantasy books.
My favourite is probably the Dragon Strike and the lavender lemonade.
I love that there are pitchers as well so it perfect for parties or book clubs.

Thank you to Jassy Davis, Cider Mill Press, and NetGalley for the eARC of this book.
Romantasy Cocktails is such a fun cocktail book—perfect for use for a girls’ night or a book club gathering. I loved the background on why the author created this collection, which added a personal and charming touch. The book starts with a helpful breakdown on how to choose the right glasses and offers tips for fun garnishments and presentation techniques when making the drinks. One of my favorite parts was learning how to make your own syrups for the cocktails—so creative and inspiring!
The recipes themselves cover a variety of alcohol, so there’s something for everyone. I also loved that each drink includes a paragraph explaining the inspiration behind it, which adds a storytelling element and makes the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a delightful guide for anyone looking to mix up tasty drinks with a side of creativity and fun.

I did love the idea of this book, the graphics were amazing but the recipes were a little hard due to the fact that some ingredients are difficult to acquire locally. Also it would have been nice to be able to download to the kindle as most of my reading is done on that and not my phone. Overall the recipes looked really interesting. Thank you NetGalley for this ARC

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. Romantasy Cocktails is a really beautiful book—the fonts and illustrations make it feel like something you’d want to keep out on a coffee table. I think it would be even nicer in a physical copy.
The recipes themselves weren’t quite what I was hoping for. Many use unusual ingredients or are a bit complicated, so they don’t feel very practical for everyday mixing. Still, it’s a fun idea and a lovely book to flip through, even if I probably won’t make most of the drinks.

Absolute gem so glad to get this book enable to read all the delicious recipes. Definitely gonna use these for the full-time house parties themed parties all the get-togethers. I just absolutely love all of the detail that went into all these drinks to make for a fun night gathering with friends and family thank you so much for this. I really appreciate the acceptance and I absolutely loved it.!!!

I love this book. The recipes all look so good. It’s got everything from cocktails to mocktails to pitcher size drinks. I feel like I can pair most of the drinks with my favorite novels. I can also make one before diving into a new fantasy novel. There’s something for everyone, even kids can have a mocktail for watching a movie or reading a book.
The only thing I didn’t like about the recipes is that some of them require items that aren’t as easy to come by. While some of the recipes tell you how to make some of the syrups, not all grocery stores carry the supplies, and not everyone has a specialty store nearby.

While the premise for this book was intriguing by title alone, it felt as though execution could be cleaner.
The Good:
The book has an aesthetic cover with a great premise.
Each cocktail has a kitschy description that will really hit with the target audience, and they were very enjoyable to read. There was a fun reimagining of which cocktails align with which tropes/ characterizarions.
The (not so) Good:
I really wish there were actual photos of the completed cocktails in lieu of the lackluster graphics. It made it feel as though the cocktails hadn’t even executed which does not instill a vote of confidence for an amateur attempting as well as makes it difficult to discern if they are executed correctly by the reader. The drinks were primarily classics and if modifications were made, they were obscure ingredients that would be more difficult and pricey to find.
Overall I think photos alone would do wonders for making me want to purchase. For cookbooks in particular I either need them to have exceptional and unique recipes or be aesthetic enough to display.
Thank you to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for the advanced copy.
