The Coven and The Cursed had me in an absolute chokehold. The Damned had me counting down the minutes until I could dive back in.

This marks a pivot in main characters for an interconnected second duology, reminiscent of These Hollow Vows. I’m a big fan of this structure as it opens space to explore new perspectives while keeping the world familiar. That said, there are spoilers, so do yourself a favour and read the first two books first.

The plot delivered on every front from high-stakes action to rich worldbuilding, and that slow-burn romantic tension Harper L. Woods always captures so well. The spice was well earned, and I loved how emotional depth was a prerequisite rather than a detour on the way there. The morally grey MMC is absolutely book boyfriend material.

Perfect for fans of the original duology, Phantasma, or the Prince of Sin series.
