I was interested in this book because I've watched so many shows and reels about the same topic. I was interested to see how the information would translate to the written word. This was obviously similar information but it was more thorough and summarized much of what I had seen previously. It was great to see all the info in one place. The photos were high quality and brought interest to the story that was told, and this was very much a story. This is an informational text about the history and lifeblood of what Texas BBQ is, if you are looking for recipes this is not the book for you.

A beautiful collection of stories, essays, and memoirs of those who are passionate about Texas-style BBQ. A must read for any home chef or pitmaster.
