The cosiest Autumn read, if you love Gilmore Girls this is for you! 🍂

After finding out her fiancé cheated on her and her whole family are plotting against her for money, Nic moves to the cosy town of Wayward Hollow with her best friend to start fresh. The town being referred to being in “Bumfuck, Nowhere” really made me laugh.

From the very first pages you come to love Nic and feel for her straight away with what she’s been through. The way she handles leaving her fiancé is admirable because girllll I could never the rage would be too much 😂

Nic discovers an injured cat in the road on the way to her new home and this is where we meet Henry, a sweet veterinarian who screams golden retriever energy. What’s not to love! This cat then becomes a ghost who “haunts” Nic for the rest of the story. It was kinda funny to start but it was a strange addition throughout the full story.

Nic’s relationship with her new friends in Wayward Hollow is perfect, the type of friendships we all want! It like Gilmore Girls meets Friends in a way.

This was nearly 4 stars but a few things knocked it down for me, one of them being the pet name “sweetheart” by Henry to Nic. A minor detail that gave me the ick everytime I read it, especially during the spicy scenes…. I just can’t accept sweetheart and spicy all in the same sentence. This is definitely a me problem though, I’m sure it’s actually really sweet!

Although I flew through this book, I did find that the pacing dropped somewhere around the middle. It didn’t drag much but it made me question where the story was going. However, the ending totally made sense and what you wanted to happen finally happened!

Is definitely recommend this book to get you feeling all the cosy vibes this autumn 🍂

So cute! Ah it put me in the fall mood, loved this story I couldn’t put it down. I loved the story line and the characters

This was adorable I read it in one sitting snuggled up with my own crazy cats & dogs.y first autumn book of the season and it was amazing!!
It had all the feels a little drama the most sweeties characters and adorable animals I don’t think I could have loved it more.
Was such an easy read I picked it up and fell completely in love with it the character the setting everything was so perfect and I can’t wait to find out the other characters stories. I’ve already grown so attached to them.
The perfect autumn read.
