****Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of Their Reluctant Mate by Ivy Barrett in exchange for an honest review.
I wish the book had been longer… The world-building and storyline were truly exciting and intriguing. However, I must point out that the dark elements are quite strong. If you’re looking for something soft and romantic, this is definitely not the book for you. But if you’re into dark reverse harem stories set in another world, then this one is absolutely worth it.
The only thing that made me a little sad was that the book wasn’t long enough to really build a connection with the characters. Each character’s past is touched upon, but I would have loved to hear more about their lives and experiences in this world.

Fans of fantasy novels will love this. The author's writing had me hooked from the very first page and I kept reading until the end as I wanted to know what happened. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.
🧡 Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

The setting was interesting and the plot was fine, but I just couldn't with the misogyny and rape masquerading as "romance."

Great read, waiting for the next one! When Lexie is stranded on a planet with some fellow scientists, she has to make a choice, starve, freeze or take 3 of the cat hybrids as mates. When Kane sets eyes on Lexie he knows she is his! But can he tame her enough to fit into his environment. Hot romance, suspense, spankings and all that good stuff!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you for allowing me to review

This is Fifty Shades of Grey times three and with shifters. A bit too much BDSM for me but the story is interesting. I assume there will be more books in the series so hopefully they will tone down the spanking in the next one.

I received an ARC of Their Reluctant Mate from NetGalley and Stormy Night Publications. This was my first Ivy Barrett book and while it didn’t fully click for me, I can see why readers enjoy her take on shifter romance.
The setup had so much potential - a brutal, primal world with fierce alpha energy and plenty of heat. The spice is definitely there, and if you’re here for raw, unapologetic chemistry, this book delivers.
For me though, the world building felt a bit thin and the storyline rushed, which made it harder to really connect with the characters or get pulled fully into the setting. I wanted a little more time to breathe in between the action and the relationships.
That said, it’s a fast, spicy read that’s going to appeal to fans who love their shifter romances high on intensity and low on hesitation. If you’re looking for bold, alpha-driven dynamics with plenty of heat, this is worth checking out.

I have mixed feelings about this book, and they all stem from those warnings (which are very well done). It's not the type of literature I usually read, nor the type of connection I usually enjoy, but at times I found myself so immersed in the story of this world the author created that it ended up being secondary (although it's not secondary at all, believe me).
The truth is, I'd love to know how this story continues and how the author will develop the communities that clash in this hostile world. I'm also interested in knowing what the other connections would be like, if they would all be the same or if there would be a different approach.
Thank you so much, Stormy Night Publications, for the ARC I read on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
