Count the Dead has an intriguing premise, and I was hopeful for a dark, suspenseful story. Unfortunately, the execution didn’t quite work for me. The pacing felt uneven, with stretches that dragged and others that jumped too quickly, making it difficult to stay fully engaged. The characters also never felt fully developed, which made it hard to connect with their choices or care about the outcome.

While there were glimpses of strong atmosphere and potential in the setup, the story lacked the polish and cohesion I was looking for in a thriller. With some tightening and more depth in characterization, this could have been much stronger.
