As an art enthusiast, this book would make a great gift for a collector of memoirs and insight into egg tempera. The prose is clean and readable, the author engaging in their presentation.

Their artwork is interesting to glance at in order to get an idea about egg tempera and help other artists get inspired to try the technique.

I would encourage other art enthusiasts to give this book a try...

When I requested this ARC, drawn to its beautiful cover, I did not know how explicit some of the inside illustrations would be. Definitely not my cup of tea.
