A fabulous read. The main character ‘s daughter moves to,Australia and she realises she is sad and shopping too much so she buys a barge and moves to Amsterdam. Wow you have a great story and a lovely slow burn love story. I loved the descriptions of life in Amsterdam. No mention of Brexit and post. I read in one night . Fab.

A New Life in Amsterdam is a lighthearted romantic novel which is based on the adventures of Sandy when she decides to up-stick from rural Wales and find a new life on a houseboat in Amsterdam. We meet lots of characters along the way and go on many local adventures around the city.

I found this a lovely easygoing read with good characterisation and great descriptions of settings. It follows a good pace and the story was well written. If you have ever been to Amsterdam it will bring back many memories and if you haven’t been I’m sure you will want to visit after reading this book. Sometimes second chances really do work out… whatever age you are!
