This is an immersive classic mystery! I haven't read the other books in this series but I will have to do that now! The author really sets the scene and styles the characters so vividly. I felt like I was right there with them solving these murders. I also appreciate the history lessons associated with the different chapters. I love the little hints at something spooky around Christmas! Ghost tours, a crummy landlord, and a menagerie of characters. The flow and design are flawless and makes for a quick easy read that you don't want to put down. Sign me up for the rest of the series!

I love love love this series so much. When I saw NetGalley had the newest one I knew I had to request it. I started it the moment it was approved. This installment takes place at Christmas, in one of my favourite yorkshire towns. This is a cosy murder mystery and has all the aspects of one. A notorious landlord victim, a suspicious tour guide, a resentful ex wife and many tenants who wouldn't shed a tear for him.
A wonderful addition to a gripping series, a must buy for any murder mystery lover.
