The Confidant by Helene Gremillon was a very interesting read. I have to admit that I was a little confused at first as I began reading but quickly the plot came together and I found myself enjoying this story. It is the story of a young woman whose mother has passed away. She is in the process of selling her parents’ home and getting closure on her life. During this process, she finds herself the recipient of several strange letters. This is a great book for a book club and one that you will enjoy having in your library. If you want something more than the run of the mill book, this is one you should have. I highly recommend it for your summer reading list.
