What a beautiful, engaging love story told from several points of view. I enjoyed the author's writing style. The author created well developed characters and a thoughtfully provoking storyline. It is a very lovely book and an excellent read.

Heading off on my holidays to France soon so I decided to read something set in France to get me into the right frame of mind. Basic premise - a woman is mugged outside her apartment and a stranger finds her bag and sets off on a trail to reunite her.
Have to say I was a little hesitant about reading this book. I've seen it described as romantic and cutesy and they aren't really themes I go for. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and I will be reading the author's other works in the near future.
I liked how Laurent slowly made the connections and found out who Laure was from the items in her bag. Yes, ok, it was a touch sentimental and unrealistic but I was swayed by the setting and the writing style. It was a gentle read - it didn't tax me and I didn't have to think too hard. Much as I hate to admit it, sometimes I need this kind of read.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.

This isn't exactly what I was expecting, but I am glad I received the opportunity to share this text.

(4.5 stars) This is an engaging love story told from multiple viewpoints. I enjoyed the lyrical writing. It would have been an easy 5-star rating but for two short sections that felt superfluous. A short point of view from a very minor character came out of nowhere and added nothing to the story. The ending would have been perfect if the book ended two pages sooner. Still, it is a lovely book and I highly recommend it!
