Sun, vineyards, second chances & a love triangle I actually rooted for.
Don’t Fall in Love With Me by Paige Toon is an emotional romance set in the picturesque French countryside. Grace returns to France for a job, only to discover that her ex Jackson is working there too & now single again. Just as old feelings begin to resurface she unexpectedly bumps into Etienne, someone from her past.
Paige Toon has an incredible way of pulling me completely into her stories, & once again I found myself fully invested. What I loved most was the warmth of her writing & the emotional pull running through the book. The story feels immersive & the characters are layered & real, the kind you don’t want to say goodbye to when you turn the final page.
I’m not always the biggest fan of love triangles, but this one was handled well. It felt heartfelt & authentic rather than frustrating, which made it easy to root for the characters as their stories unfolded.
Expect hopeful, romantic & full of heart, this is the perfect summer read made even more special with the bonus of a recommended song playlist to enjoy while reading.
I’d recommend this to anyone who loves character driven romance, a gorgeous setting & an emotional engaging story.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and Random House UK, Cornerstone | Penguin for the ARC.
