Running a bookshop on a narrow boat is a dream come true for Molly. Her career choice honours her family's line of unconventional women and makes Molly happy. The only trouble is, people are attracted to the venue but don't seem to buy the books. Molly is innovative and creates a blind date with a book to help with finances. Jack also has dreams and better finances than Molly, but forced into each other's orbit, it is not love, more like war. The literary themes and the enemies-to-lovers trope work well in this setting, and the characters and storytelling make it an entertaining read. I enjoyed the literary setting, the engaging characters and the gentle romance and humour.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
