Rebecca needs to escape from the most humiliating experience of her life. A Summer job at a family-run hotel in Portugal is the perfect solution, but it proves to be more life-changing than she imagined. I like the chemistry between Felipe and Rebecca and the way their relationship is developing. Family, duty, and living your own life are recurring themes in the story. The setting is summery and evocatively described, giving the story its unique edge. The romance is conflicted and gentle and feels authentic. It's a contemporary romantic tale with a touch of spice that works well, given the initial "live-in-the-moment" ethos of Rebecca and Felipe's romance. It's a perfect holiday read with characters you invest in, a coastal setting and passionate romance.
