Em and Cormac "The Hurricane" O'Connell's are such an adorable couple. He is OTT possessive, yet treats her with such gentle reverence, like she's the most precious thing in his entire life and he doesn't know how he got so lucky to have found her.

Wasn't sure how I'd feel diving back into this second story knowing what was going to happen. (Her abusive stepfather goes on trial). Yes, it was a lot of angst and heartache in this one, but the incredibly sweet, and tender relationship between this couple shown through all the drama.

There is a large chunk of this book where Em and Con remain celibate because he's in training. I appreciate how the author was able to keep the intensity between this couple, without sex, but with a deep intimacy and occasional ribbing.

Enjoyable continuation from O'Connells pov. A little repetitive at times but still holds up. I love this couple and how strong their love is. I love how much the hero showed his love. Sometimes tho, he just did not think and acted like a man who did not understand a woman,
