MONGRELS is a fantastic blend of the coming-of-age and horror genres.
The novel offers an interesting and engaging take on the werewolf mythology, and follows a boy born into this strange world. The boy has yet to discover if he is like his aunt and uncle, but that time is drawing near when he will need to figure out what he wants to do, how he wants to live.
It's a really good novel. Gripping, well-written, and with interesting and well-drawn characters. Definitely recommended.
