Due to personal circumstances, I didn’t get to download this book and now I can’t download or review it anymore. My apologies to not getting to this book sooner and not giving useful feedback.

A lovely exploration of female identity, mother-daughter relationships and art, told through the interwoven stories of Madeleine and her grandmother. Margie escapes the expectations of her family through 3 months in Paris - 75 years later Madeleine is struggling to find happiness in a life full of privilege but smothered by the expectations of her husband and mother.

At first I found Margie’s story, told in what seems to be Madeleine’s voice harder to get into, but by the end I enjoyed both narratives - a thought provoking but easy read.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.
