Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

Excellent contemporary, partly inspired by Wuthering Heights. Stood out even in a really strong year so far for YA contemporary novels, because of the way the toxic central relationship was written. Thought-provoking and important.

I started reading this book awhile back. I definitely did enjoy what I read of it, however, I did not finish reading the book which is why I have no formal review to share of it with you.

I enjoyed the story line, the characters, the build-up towards the main premise of the book. However I got about halfway to three quarters of the way through the book and I just didn't feel like there was enough there to keep me going. I guessed where the story would lead and eventually I figured out that it didn't bother me if I didn't finish the book as I knew where it was headed, I knew what would happen and I understood the message the author was trying to convey. It definitely wasn't a bad book at all, I liked the concepts of the book. I just wanted something a little more, or a little bit out of the ordinary to defy my expectations of the book.

A solid but forgettable contemporary. The cover is eye-catching and the style is accessible, but the writing is a little too simple and the story didn't make a lasting impact. It may have been to do with the target audience - an age range younger than most of my favourite contemporaries - but for lower YA-upper MG I would probably still recommend Jenny McLachlan's Flirty Dancing or Cathy Cassidy's many series instead.
